i got a athlon 1700+ today =] currently at 1.8ghz up from stock 1.47ghz. its a tbred B......these are great overclockers. ill try for a higher speed later. average for these is 2ghz.....dunno if my hsf is up to it tho

forgot to mention its on my old KT133 board......damn i love asus...they can make some good boards.....over 2 yrs from purchace date and still can support the latest CPUs....its great!

Just make sure you don't pull a GoKu and toast everything! :wink: I'd let it run Folding@Home (team # 11286!) for at least a few hours, and preferably a day, to make sure it's stable before pushing on to the next OC of the chip.

Oh ya, nice lilmoonee, How much did you pay for it? U can get a 2,100 (B) for 87.. thats a hella deal. I got mine to 2.33 megahurtz unstable.. and 2.21 ish stable.. from 1.73 not bad condering my ram sucks.

i got it local so...it was about 70 bucks including tax. the max im gonna be able to go on this mobo (only 107fsb b/c of kt133) is 2140mhz but my hsf isnt gonna be up to it.
