My advice is to try windows media player 9. I used MMJB forever and switched to WMP9 not long ago. It record and burns very nicely.

As far as musicmatch, you may need to get the latest ASPI drivers. Here is some info on that:

If that doesn't help or I am wrong, someone please scold me in a harsh manner.

why not use a proper ripper, such as CDex and burn with a proper app such as Nero?

these all-in-one apps are bound to barf sooner or later.

CDex kicks ass!!!! I use it all the time. Probably THE best out there, and its small and not a resource hog.

And of course partner it up with nero and you have a mean media creation machine icon_biggrin.gif

IIRC, XP does everything all of these programs do, natively.

Why bother with third party!

There is a third party add on for Windows Media Player that converts to MP3 format if you don't want to use WMA format.

Although you can burn music CD's with Widows Media Player I do prefer Nero.

Check your recorder settings:

options / recorder / settings / advanced

Processing level should be Normal. DAE speed defaults to MAX but can be changed as a test - try setting it to 3 or 4 and see if it freezes. You might want to browse the MusicMatch web site: (click) maybe they have some ideas on how to fix it.
