I took my girls to some fireworks in the small town of Wyoming, IL last night. Decent display and good tunes playing in the background. Kinda hit me after a bit (and a couple visits for snack money from my kids)...it is so easy to bitch, piss, moan and take everything for granted that we have. Is this country perfect? Probably not. Do we have all the answers? Probably not. Do we have people who do things that we are not proud of? For sure.

But...do we all still share the fact that we live in one of the greatest countries in the world? We should.

Agreed there Tim, but maybe we should exercise our right to do was set forth in the Declaraion of Independance:

A lot of people and countries moan about the U.S. of A. Most of them are just jealous or envious.

No country or system is perfect, howeve, given the history of a number of countries I would have to say (my opinion only) that Canada, The United States, Australia, New Zealand, Sweden, Denmakr, Norway, England, and choose two of your own choice; are probably the top ten countries in the world based on a number of salient economic and subjective factors.

In North America we are especially blessed with great weather (for the most part), great geography and natural resources, great economies, great trade opportunities, great people, great neighbours and a shared and mutual ideaology vis a vis capitalism and free market economies.

Canada and the U.S. are definitely extremely lucky to have each other.
I don't believe there are any two other countries that share so much and trust each other to the extent we do.
