Any Mac OS X users out there who would like to share their experiences? I'd like to hear comments about stability, and use. How do you like it compared to os 9.1?
My Mom has an IMac that runs os 9.1. It is three years old and has never had to be reinstalled. It runs win98 on virtual pc more stable than a wintel machine...........go figure.

my college bought over 100 imacs in the summer in association with sony for the media suite once set up they have had very little problems

not doing media they havent let me on them

but i bet i could give them a good batering

OS X is a great OS but it is much slower than OS 9. I have tried running it on a 233Mhz G3 but it is far too slow to use as your main OS. However running on the new G4 imac it's fantastic. I would say that it is by far more stable that OS 9.

However it takes a month or two to get used to the X interface, after 5+ years with the old windowing system it comes as quite a shock to the system!
