My buddy and I went to see the movie tonight. I had read the book by David Ignatius within the last 8 months or so. It was a really well done book. Very credible tension through out the book. On to the movie: this was done really well. I like Russell Crowe as an actor. I'm getting to appreciate Leonardo Di Caprio as an actor more and more with each "serious" movie I see him in. As to the movie, it was as good as the book. Very well done and the third closest to the book of all the books that I've read and then have seen a movie that was done from the book. The best/closest from book to movie (for me and subjective of course) was Silence of the Lambs. Phenomenally close to what was "painted in my head" by the words of Thomas Harris and then taken to the screen, directed by Jonathon Demme.. The second would be the J.R.R. Tolkien: The Hobbit, Lord of the Rings and this book by David Ignatius translated into the movie by Ridley Scott would be third place.
