Full Version: DD-WRT on Linksys WRT610N

Ok, I've looked through the Wiki (which is kind of generic with it's instructions). Has anyone installed DD-WRT on thier device yet?

The last time I used a custom firmware it was on a Linksys WRTG router and I loaded "Tomato" Firmware which was a helluva lot easier to figure out how to install it because the instructions on thier page were a "Step-by-step-hold-your-hand" kind of thing.

The DD-WRT has like 3000 files and such to choose from and there is no "hold your hand" type of instructions on it.

Anyone can be of assistance?

maybe that will help ya
Coz
That WOULD help, except for the fact that I recently moved and don't have my speakers hooked up...so listening to a YouTube video does nothing for me.... icon_smile.gif

I thought a deaf old fart like you would be able to lip read, Mike. icon_biggrin.gif (To any overly sensitive types out there, I'm partially hearing impaired due to perforated ear drums.)

I've been using DD-WRT for years. Fantastic product. I use it for folks when I install their wireless network, too.

That's great. Now tell me how to put it on my router... dangit! icon_smile.gif

No need to come in here and toot your own horn without providing some information....jeesh! LoL

Since I got the speakers hooked up finally, I decided to take a peek and the above link. Unfortunately, there is no 'how to' video specific to my 610N. icon_cry.gif

I still don't know the filenames and such that I need. Dangit!

Nincompoop. <runs away giggling.> Let me see if I can find a book with pop up pictures for you. tongue_smilie.gif hysterical.gif Sorry, Coz but it's just too much fun teasing you. icon_biggrin.gif icon_wink.gif
Coz
I was doing a little more research yesterday (you know, because BurnKat was such a big help with this topic! icon_smile.gif), I don't think they make a 'flash' for my router, if I am reading some of the information I have stumbled across.

Too bad, because I enjoy tweaking stuff. icon_cry.gif
