How to make a knife by hand. Well, Greenpete did in a 4 part youtube video-did check out all parts and found his work good, and refreshing that someone today would do this work-all hand file work-no convince of shop. A very good how to series that will give you a new knife if you wish to build one. Personally, you can get the steel already made and tempered properly which saves time, and energy. A grinding wheel in the shop is nice over the file that he used, because it will provide a concave aspect to the blade that a file can not do in this situation. Also would anchor better the blade of the knife (in a vice) when drilling into the handle shank portion to prevent an accident if it decides to spin with your hand being there-you can spot this if you check out the film. It is worth watching if into field work and set-ups-very good stuff. Also, some neat work making Damascus knives-did not watch this-but in same area of site.

Guy looked like he was into what he was doing-nice to see him use his environment, and what he had to make things work out for him in the boonies. icon_smile.gif
