I fear thieves in pinstripe suits, be they gov't employees, politicians, bankers or wall street rascals more than I fear common criminals, hoods, general crooks and organized crime. With the last group there is far less "deception" as to what they are going to do "for and to you" than with the former. The first group will give you the "Texas high poke" (aka swindle, steal from you in a purportedly "legal" way) while the second group will knock you on your head and grab your walletski. The first group you expect to protect your interests and protect you from the second group. However, as of the last thirty years, I have been able less and less to distinguish between the two. The first group usually shakes your hand and smiles at you and lives in offices (while not on the golf course.) The second usually resides at some seedy dark bar with either a Russian, Italian, Jamaican, Latino. First Nations or Chinese name. <If I left out any major criminal group, please forgive me. Insert your local ethnic/assorted scumbag group in the previous sentence, feel free. icon_biggrin.gif> The main difference is what we expect the first group to do for us since we are generally paying the freight for their employment, by law vs. the second group which gets paid by us by breaking the law. Oops, sorry. Bad example, not much difference between the two, is there? thumbdown.gif wallbash.gif thumbdown.gif

Could you clarify your definition and/or parameters of exactly what constitutes 'gov't employees?' Because I'm one and happen to own a pinstripe suit (although rarely wear it). And I can guarantee that the money deposited into my account was not stolen or swindled [by me] in any manner. icon_wink.gif

I would hope you're meaning those who have been elected and/or appointed to an 'office' or position they had to compete for.

You know what I mean Eric. You're a straight up guy. My dad was a government employee who was a straight up guy. Both of you work(ed) damned hard and for every penny you've earned. Nor did you take a cent that DIDN'T belong to you. Clear enough? I'm talking about the sell-outs, time putter innners, abusers of privileges and that lot. Cheaters.

No worries B - I just like watchin' you squirm now and then. icon_biggrin.gif BTW - that black Suburban with the limo-tinted windows parked down the street... I had nothing to do with that, but you might take notice of when it leaves and returns. icon_wink.gif

Dear Ron,

It has come to my attention that you've been passing around unfavorable information regarding the physical proportions of a certain author of this letter - this I cannot allow. I find your lack of respect disturbing, so necessary action will have to be taken. I regret that things have come to this, but business is business and I have a reputation to uphold.

Sincerely,

Dom Enrique

Ha ha ha. You like to see me squirm huh? Okay. As to the black Suburban down the street, I wouldn't notice it if it was on fire with an audible alarm going full blast and the cherry throwing light like a roman candle. My actual apartment is on the back of the block facing south. The main street is on the north side. Truly, I never go out front and therefore wouldn't notice it at all. Now if it was parked in the back lane with Washington, D.C. plates, Texas or Utah plates, I might notice it. However for the most part I don't notice much around me at all. Old and feeble with failiing eyesight and lack of awareness will do that for you. cocky.gif

'Line-of-sight' surveillance is "so '80s." icon_surprised.gif

Keep an eye on the 'birds' as well, especially the ones that never flap their wings... I don't think they're supposed to have internal combustion engines and 8-hour lag times.

Hmmm ... think your in good shape t_b, if a car like this is parked for very long, and spotted in some areas of town, quite often it is boxed up, sold, and shipped to South America for taxi cab use! Guess, people instead are extra, and free of charge? icon_smile.gif

Sorry, Eric, but I've not had this type of particular rash before. Since I've been facing south and the rash is on my front, it must be something to do with what's streaming northward at this time. cocky.gif icon_wink.gif

Well, considering what typically streams from the south, if you value it at all I'd be tempted to hold my watch above the flow. Maybe even take off your shoes and socks, and consider rolling up your pant legs. Consider investing in a good pair of hip-waders as well. Personal floatation devices might also not be a bad call on particularly 'flowing' days.

All that, and a good pair of nose plugs... for the smell. icon_biggrin.gif

I'd get that rash checked out soonest... because ya just never know with rashes.
the_burner
Ha ha ha. Not bad. You might, with a little work, get your "touch" back. Might be an uphill struggle though. I suggest rolling up your sleeves at the very least. Please don't even consider changing into one of those sleeveless "wife beater" undershirts. Given the amount of personal body hair (both you and I possess) someone might mistake you for a buffalo mat and put you out on the front porch.
It might be uncomfortable for you with your cabeza hanging off one end and your feet dangling off the other. LOL. icon_biggrin.gif icon_wink.gif

P.S.: I'll take your advice vis a vis the rashes under advisement, as the shysters are wont to say. icon_smile.gif
