The people at NASA seem to think that all is possible, notice that I do not hear very much from the overly green lot. But, would suspect that once they get on a kick, the present day pundits of environmental gloom and doom just stay into their locked in thinking, i.e., facts, history, and experience not needed apparently. I have often wondered why they don't use the resources of us that are growing older , we are more careful and tend to make sound decisions.
like the 18 year olds we send to war because they think they are invincible , when you get to a certain age you release time is at a premium and also do not worry to much about the consiquences if it is a carefully and calcuated dicesion.
Yes i would go to mars knowing i would not return , but it would as i said be carefully considered as to the over all benefit to mankind.
