That was some fine gear there Nathan...
I always wanted the Cobra with the Frequency counter in it but never could justifiy the money, but damn it looked fine!
Where I worked he used to sell Browning... I bought a Sabre off of him, would have loved to have gotten one of the Golden Eagle bases...
Still love a D104 mic... click ping... Alas he wouldn't sell, had the big collection in the basement all types and kinds, even early Hailcraft bases with crystal sockets, change channel... change cyrstal...
I used to get a kick out of him selling radio's, he had a Hooker 100 watt under the bench and a Moonraker 6 on a 40' tower on the roof. People would want to buy a radio and he'd hook it up on the bench, asked them if they had any friends with CB's and where they lived, rotated the antenna towards that locatation and let them call for thier friends. They were all amazed...
Damn fine radio's would get clear across Toronto...
I never spoke to any of the "SuperBowl" peeps on air... As I wasn't into CB thaaaat much lot's o' money and I was just a kid...
The old boss also had a Yaesu FT410b there which I used to tinker on 2 metre a little bit, used the local clubs patch a few times...
Quite the days, always wanted to get an HAM ticket, but never had a desire to learn morse... And living in an apartment one could never put up an Antenna anywhere...
The old boss when he closed the shop down told me I could have the Moonraker off the roof if I wanted it...
Got half way up the tower and just couldn't do it

20' to the roof, (two storey strip mall type store) with a 40' skinny tower up to the antenna...
which also weighed a ton...
