Actually, it's the record company that's screwing the artist. That's why it's the record companies that formed the RIAA to sue everyone that even thinks about downloading a song.
I also heard that you could only use Apple's new music service from a Mac. That may or may not be true, but, since I won't be using Apple's service anyway, I don't care. If it is true, Apple will have a very tiny potential customer base, since I cannot envision hordes of people rushing to buy Macs so they can download songs for $.99 each.
Call me cheap, but even $.99 is to expensive for my liking... think about you, you want a cd that has 20-22 songs, well hello, you back to paying full price if not more for a CD... and thats .99 is in USD... so tack another 50-53% for exchange for here in Canada... and the artisits, record companies, RIAA and now Apple are screwing the public...
