Anyone have any 1400+ Athlon XP's that they have lying around and would be willing to sell. My buddy needs a processer for his box and his cash is on the tight side now. Anyone know of anything inexpensive or anywhere he could get a 1400+ on the cheap?

The lowest PR rated XP was the 1500+. A 1.4GHz PR rated would be the 1600 The 1400 was actually a tbird, not an XP.

I'll hit him with the $48 price but I think he might have checked out NewEgg already. I think he wants something like in the $35 range. I think he really wants something used so it's tried and true. Not sure though, lemme check with him.

eBay has Athlon's that have been pulled out of systems for cheap.

Heh, he's still on the search actully. I had to start ignoring his IM's because all he does is bother me about computer parts anymore. Not that thats a bad thing, but it drives me nuts when thats all he talks about for like an hour straight.

I told him to look for Durons because they were cheap and the box he is trying to slap together doesn't need to be a powerhouse so a Duron would do him well.

If I ever break down and buy the 2500+ then I will have a 1700+ that I could part with
