AMD Athlon XP 2,100 T-Bred (B) @ 2,600 24/7 stable @ 2,300 mghtz which is currently unrated by AMD standards, which is roughly around 3,500 or so. Works fine, I just prefer to use 2,600 because temps are real cool

I got a Pentium 133 that runs:

Nat & Masq
Dhcpd

Proftpd
Apache
Sendmail
Pop3

All on one little Intel machine...

I've recently moved the FTP and WEB over to a SnapServer... (HDD with an Ether port on it icon_smile.gif) for the novelty of it.... not because of load...

T-bred B 2100+ OC'ed at 2.104 Mhz (usually 2128 but trying to trace a crash problem, due to perhaps OC'ing)

go figure, Sandra 2003 tells me it performs less than a 2600+ when funny enough, I'm running a 404 Mhz FSB, which should put it above 2600+ for sure, and probably around 2800+ performance, due to the RAM also being PC3200, so the FSB and RAM run in sync and there's no performance due to conversion between the different RAM & FSB speeds.

Just goes to show Sandra, as a static CPU benchmark, does not show in any way realistic CPU performance. I recently saw some benchmarks at Tom's Hardware reviewing the 3000+ Barton, and Sandra rated it as lower than a 2800+ (non Barton core).... definitely wrong to say the least.

I have a semi decent fan - keeps low noise (automatic kind), CPU runs at 43 - 43.5C at full load, so it's OK. I upped the FSB from 133 to 202 (effectively 404 mhz) - but keep in mind it's an ABIT NForce2, so it's designed to be highly overclockable. Another important thing is that my AMD 2100+ is Thoroughbred B, highly overclockable, and from a special series which have been tested to be highly overclockable (JHIUB or AIUHB or something like that, hexus.net had some article on it)

overall i'm pretty happy with the OC, pseudo 2700+/2800+ performance out of a $90 2100+ is pretty damn good. - oh yeah and the OCZ PC3200 RAM does help 4-4-4-2CL.

so ~sid~ I'd start with FSB so you maximize the throughput of the motherboard (... though DDR ram would help, does your mobo support it?)
