Mandark
we told you so..... all you Intel haters.... eat some crow now.....

wish I had one... way to go man... icon_lol.gif
ldonyo
Which CPU is that? I'm guessing the 2.4C (800MHz FSB), but I can't tell from squinting at your scaled down screenshots and I'm too lazy to try very hard, anyway.
GoKu
Heh, yah, and I'm far from done. i got it to 5800 100 more, and only thing keeping me is right now my systems overheating, can't get the 7+ mounted.. everyone says its hard to do a p4, there right.... damnit this sucks..

I can get to prolly 6 gig which is awsome..

yes

ABIT IC7
Intel P4 2.4C
HyperX 2x256 PC 3,000 @ dcddr icon_smile.gif

Um, my PR rating on Sandra is 7,000 icon_smile.gif

That's mine icon_cool.gif

troll, what are you'rs @?
Jason
Damn Goku how much speed do you want, that last pic you posted seems plenty fast enough.
GoKu
Hehe jas, just going for a meesely 200 moer mbps
GoKu
God, I love this CPU to hell, but it might be going back.

Yes, sigh.. its awsome.. but for some reason, my temps are outrageous.

Even without o/cing @ 140F

I was at that with my O/CED AMD.. god damn

I think I'm having probelms setting the CPU HS...

And, if thats it, Intel is too confusing for me....

So it might be an AMD Athlon XP 1,700, ABIT NF7-S

Anyone think this is wrong to do? This frigging HEAT is unbarable.

Any O/C it humps to 160F+!!!!!
Troll
I can only get mine to 2.93 GoKu...

I leave it stable at 2.88 it's only a 2.4B @533
She's at 114F after some BHD with da peeps icon_lol.gif

I shoulda waited, and got one of those icon_biggrin.gif

TMax for that CPU is 165F something is really wrong then if it's at 140 to 160 icon_eek.gif
uNtOldPAIN
Place ur bets all...100 to 1 he's gonna burn it icon_twisted.gif
mbeeston
1 dolar on he won't burn it till he tries 1 mor mhz icon_wink.gif

You're the RMA queen icon_lol.gif what vid card adn CPU you going to get next week?
ldonyo
Have you tried using some REAL thermal paste, rather than leaving the piss-poor thermal pad in the HSF you got with the proc?
Mandark
I would get a Heat Sink that Intel approves for that processor. Those should be very easy to install from what I have heard.

Also, use Intel approved themal compound and apply us ultra thin...

but that's just me.

Dude, i would keep that system... man, would I keep it....

Your not wrong there, I would happily keep it too icon_cool.gif

GJ Pain, you win, its burnt out. And not from o/cing so suck it. And btw, those temps, are with out over clocking, so somethign is direly wrong. I have to get my money back, i might, and i might not re-buy one off of GOOGLEGEAR, its not only cheaper, but if i have to send it back again, newegg won't hate me.....

The temps were rediculous.. it crashed from heat during a flash game..

140 to 160 from a flash game....

And I can't afford a new heat sink guys....

I'm broke from this combo.....

I might be able to sell my t7+ to someone, but I wanna keep it..

seeing as im building an AMD system somewhere down the road...

God.. i want ta hell to keep this system, or buy a new one...

It was so fast @ stock speeds... damn thing...

Pain already said NO to helping me with a water cooling system, so thats out..

And LD... it had AS3 on, and still over heated icon_cry.gif..

NewEgg wants 50 dollar restocking fee, im trying to get that waved...

We'll see i guess... sigh..

Dude, you need to be co-admin at Bull's China Shop! jackass.gif

GoKu
Sigh is right pain, what do you think I should do?

Buy same intel or buy that amd..
uNtOldPAIN
is the mobo alright
icon_question.gif ....is the 7 days passed yet??...i dunno im not there icon_confused.gif

for that amout of $$ u could get a damn good AMD system
ldonyo
If the temps shot up like that from a Flash game something was wrong with the cooling on the CPU. THAT's why you don't use the craptastic thermal pads that the HSF manufacturers are 'kind' enough to pre-apply to their HSG. ALWAYS, without question and without hesitation, REMOVE the thermal pad and use a decent quality thermal paste! Plus, you should always double check your HSF installation to make sure you got it installed correctly. If it's off even just a little bit, you can have heat realated problems.

If you don't want to have to re-apply thermal goop every few months, I'd recommend a non-silicon-based paste. No, it doesn't have to be Artic Silver (although I like their paste), but it should be a quality paste of some sort. Nanotherm, OCZ, whoever, just as long as it didn't come in a little plastic bag or from Radio Shack, you should be fine.
GoKu
Pain, I got approved for it..

Either RMA'ing mobo and CPU or getting my money back..

They want 50 dollar restocking fee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ITS BROKEN!!!!!!!!!

If I can't get the 50 waved, im RMA'ing it.
ldonyo
If you'd quit screwing with things until they break, you wouldn't have to worry about restocking fees! icon_eek.gif
