I don't know if this really belongs in case mods but since I installed the window I think it qualifies. Here's my new case (yeah, I finally got it after being dicked around by Frozencpu.com for 6WEEKS!!! do yourself a favor and don't order from them, at least not one of these )

Thanks. I plan on getting a light or something but ATM you can't even see the window because it's sitting in a compartment thing in my desk . I'm gonna cut a big hole in it though so you can see it but I haven't gotten around to it yet. I plan on getting some new cables too but I'm buying a serial ATA drive next so money is tight I also plan on getting a new video card (but that's another thread :P )

Troll, you should try it out. It's awesome. It's probably the best money I have ever spent when it comes to performance computer components. I don't miss the fan noise AT ALL.

Bull, it was worth the wait but I was pretty much in the dark until about 5 days before I got it (had no idea what the hell was going on ). I am thinking of a review (I took pictures of it fresh in the box ).

Ghandi, I can't put a window up front because behind that gray thing are air filters (good ones ) and there's a 120mm fan behind that.

Jason, I responded to your comment above but to be honest with you I don't really like round cables. I know they look better but I believe they're more prone to data corruption (especially when overclocking). I am going to put one on my burner though. :wink:

Oh I forgot, the grill thing in the back is a radiator (you did know that, didn't you? )

nice ass case nate...one little problem though i dont thinks it gonna affect u much....the set up has hot air going through the radiator...it looks damn good though

You're right, it does have "hot" air flowing through it. My temps are higher than I would like (about 40C full load at around 78F ambient, but to get the temps where I would like them it would require me spending 7-800$ (on a Prometeia).

did u check the core waterjacket to see if u could do some lapping? if the core could use some lapping then im sure the other waterjackets could too

what do you mean by the core on the water jacket? you mean the waterblock on the cpu (outside/lap deal?) or inside of it?

tha part that touches the chip :wink: i dont know about now but usually they just use a 600grit and let it go...if it doesnt look nice and smooth...then lapping the waterblock should take a couple of C's off

Pain, the waterblock is smoother than hell and I don't want to lap it (but I appreciate the advice ). I lap all my heatsinks usually but after reading the lapping article (there's a link to a couple floating around here somewhere, and one of them mentions the industrial lapping machines that Swiftech uses ) I decided I wasn't going to lap this unless I buy a couple spare blocks (cpu and gpu).

I talked to a guy from Detroit that has the same case and he ditched the stock fans and added TEC's http://www.liquidninjas.com/reviews.php?op...owcontent&id=20 and I guess just changing the fans and adding a baybus made big difference.

All I know is I can hear again , and I will never go back to air. Eventually I am going to get a Prometeia but I'll have to win the lotto or something first
