I jsut got snagged by universal for a suprnova.org torrent, so be careful. They notified my ISP and they threatened to cut off my connection and Universal Studios (MPAA too) take legal action. I played stupid, apologized, and got out of it, but you might not be as lucky, so watch it.
I know the people that ran torrent.cx and they got shut down over an mp3 album rip by the artist "BT". Good ol' RIAA in action yet again. I hope they all die soon.
I don't understand the MPAA and the RIAA. We've paid our dues to artists and film makers since, well, hell way back into the 1930's or whenever you could actully go and see a movie at a theater.
Isn't it about time they gave something back? All the world is made up of anymore is people suing each other over the dumbest things you could think of. Lining the CEO's pockets with cash seems to be the only thing anyone is interested in.
yeah, right... why should they give YOU anything? Did YOU give them anything?
what a load of crap!!! Were YOU around in the 1930's? Were The artists of today?
u get caught stealing from a brick-and-morter shop and tell me what happens.....
just try that argument in court or with the COPS.
if you ever own a business, I want YOU to GIVE away all the products/services for FREE to EVERYONE who whats to use them.
If you can convince me that what i just said is not complete rubish, then you will convince me that the MPAA or RIAA have no rights to charge for products/services.
Maybe when the Artists start producing their own shit and not going with HUGE labels, and real people actually pay those artists for their music, the RIAA won't be a major factor in this HUGE MONEY business.
if ANY of you were artists and were selling your music, and nobody bought it from you but just "took" it from you..... could you stay in business? Would you feal cheated, or would you think 'YEAH!! Right ON!! Steal away!!!"
