I jsut got snagged by universal for a suprnova.org torrent, so be careful. They notified my ISP and they threatened to cut off my connection and Universal Studios (MPAA too) take legal action. I played stupid, apologized, and got out of it, but you might not be as lucky, so watch it.

I know the people that ran torrent.cx and they got shut down over an mp3 album rip by the artist "BT". Good ol' RIAA in action yet again. I hope they all die soon.

I don't understand the MPAA and the RIAA. We've paid our dues to artists and film makers since, well, hell way back into the 1930's or whenever you could actully go and see a movie at a theater.

Isn't it about time they gave something back? All the world is made up of anymore is people suing each other over the dumbest things you could think of. Lining the CEO's pockets with cash seems to be the only thing anyone is interested in.

good! 7.gif

i got an "eval" of Macromedia Dreamwaever MX from a friend here. I tried it, loved it, and BOUGHT the whole Studio MX!!! I got a hundred dollars refund too!!!. Then I destroyed the stuff I "evaluated".

What I should have done was download the "30 Day Trial" and then buy.
That offer is still good on Macromedia's site.

Copyright infringment is REAL. Thieves, beware when using KaZaa and BitTorrent... you are being watched.

and DON'T tell me you are just gonna evaluate the software..... Come'on

Honestly, I think MANY MANY regular people are gonna have to be sued and broken of this evil habbit.

If an apple falls off you neighbor's tree and is one millemeter away from your property line, you cannot take it. That is STEALING. You can take it given exress permission from the owner. Taking pens, pencils, paper, etc., from work is STEALING!!

Need I continue?

Me, I am getting scared that my bad old days of being a thief may bite me in the ass.... I wish I had never done it.....

I downloaded a game from a friend here... I deleted the sources. I cannot install it because that would be stealing. I am kind of proud of myself that I don't feel the need to do this anymore. I thought I really wanted that game... and I did... but to take it without paying is not right... especially because I like it so much. Those dudes deserve the money for their efforts. The game is only 20 bucks too.... not worth getting caught and fined $150,000.
I am glad I destroyed

yeah, right... why should they give YOU anything? Did YOU give them anything?

what a load of crap!!! Were YOU around in the 1930's? Were The artists of today?

u get caught stealing from a brick-and-morter shop and tell me what happens.....

just try that argument in court or with the COPS.

if you ever own a business, I want YOU to GIVE away all the products/services for FREE to EVERYONE who whats to use them.

If you can convince me that what i just said is not complete rubish, then you will convince me that the MPAA or RIAA have no rights to charge for products/services.

Maybe when the Artists start producing their own shit and not going with HUGE labels, and real people actually pay those artists for their music, the RIAA won't be a major factor in this HUGE MONEY business.

if ANY of you were artists and were selling your music, and nobody bought it from you but just "took" it from you..... could you stay in business? Would you feal cheated, or would you think 'YEAH!! Right ON!! Steal away!!!"

Ok mandark if and apple falls off a tree and lands 1 mm away from your property then it is not ilegal to take it, apples are there to be enjoyed by everyone and are not simply grown for profit. as is music most artists will agree that there music is not to make money but to share there feelings and talent with other people. it is only the greedy money making companys that want the money a number of record labels have already given permission for there music to be despersed through file sharing networks. Fat Wreck CHords had a law suit against RIAA for including there name in there anti piracy notes. so even though technicly its stealing there is a diference. Stealing is defined as taking that which does not belong to you. But does not music belong to the world.
