actually bob you are supposed to put it with who you live with...
if your grandparents make lots of money figured they may help ya?
They will help where they can. However, Now that my grandpa doesn't work anymore, his job ended back in july, he's only receiving retirement and social security. Since we just built our house here 5 years ago, he still has to make payments on the loan. I don't want to expect much from them because I want them to be able to keep the house and not have to worry about my debts. Thats also why I opted not to have them co-sign on my loan so they can't threaten to take the house away from my grandparents.
Technically, I should be classified as an independent. My grandparents guardianship ended June 1st, the day I graduated high school because I'm 18 and no longer a kid. I still live with my grandparetns, but I should have used my mom's name on the FAFSA because she's a single parent rasing one child, my half-sister. I also found out that since she is my mom, techinaclly I am in her care now that my grandparents legal guardianship has expired.
It's all a bit confusing, but i'm sure ill get the FAFSA crap worked out. Get this huge bill off my back and stick it to the government. At least thats what I hope happens.
