remember those Duron 600's that could reach crazy arse speeds? or even the 800's...

had an 800 that did at LEAST 900...then i got scared....

Oh my..where to start?

We got a AMD Athlon XP 2,100 T-bred (B) from 1.7 to 2.3 stable
We got a AMD Athlon XP 1,700 T-Bred from 1.4 to 1.7 (barely nudged)
And we got an Intel Pentium 4 2.4 C to 3.3 1000 FSB 270 5:4 all on air icon_confused.gif

Both of those AMD overclocks were limited by the motherboard, damn low FSB... I got like, 2,330 or something with a 180 FSB icon_eek.gif

The Intel was 12x270 5:4 if I remember..

i had a celeron 533 going 896ish before it decided to die on me (8xmultiplier running 112FSB +0.25v) it was rock solid too, minus the whole bye bye part

my p3 733 is running at 825ish, but it won;t go much further after that with stock cooling on the ram and processor icon_lol.gif (5.5 multiplier FSB set at 150, stock voltage)

The fastest I ever got my 2500+ was 2.3Ghz which is a 470Mhz overclock. That was with a SK-7 and a 80mm Tornado. I don't have that fan anymore since I didn't like the noise. I use an 80mm Sunon, and I don't overclock anymore either.

Well here is one my friend Overclocked a AMD Athlon 2600+ Barton Core frome stock 1.9 to 2.19 Stable...And he used air cooling with stock heatsink and fan..lol "NOTE" He keeps his room like a Freezer With his own Window A/C unit.

I can run my 2600+ XP Thoroughbred at 2405mhz/400mhz fsb. I keep it at 2305/400. My vcore is 1.79v and my temps are 36c-44c depending on cpu load. My memory is set at 2-2-2-5. I have thought about changing it to 2.5 to push the fsb higher. I will have to mess around with it sometime.
mew905
Intel Celeron 2.3 GHz to 2.5 GHz stable, 2.8 GHz stable (w/o sound)
I can get it up to 3.0 Ghz but then its a 2 min countdown till it reboots automatically
brady101
my cpu temp is only 37C (overclocked from the 2500 at 1.8 to 2.2) and i was wondering if there is some way i can increase the power a bit more....maybe like 2.4 or 5, i have a volcano 12 so im not worried about it overheating, but my mainboard doesnt seem to have a way to change the multiplier in the bios...

mobo specs:
soyo kt600 dragon plus v1.0

what do i need to do?
GoKu
Sorry I can't of much assistance but I haven't used an VIA mobo in I don't know how long. There should be a setting to change the multiplyer, maybe pappy or someone else knowledgable with VIA's could help more... icon_frown.gif
brady101
would it help if i updated my bios? if so where would i go to do it?
