Why yes.... yes I do. So much in fact, I've got 8 of the little buggers running around the house right now. We just love our computers, the way the just sit there, stay warm, and eat their electricity like good little appliances do. A couple of years ago when one of them got sick, it was touching the way the others developed sympathetic symptoms as well... it's just amazing the degree of solidarity the little scamps share.

I think we'll have more in the future, but not right now. Later, when money's not as tight.

ASUS A7N8X Deluxe - 152$
ABIT IC7 - 150$
AMD Athlon XP 2,100 - 92$
AMD Athlon XP 1,700 - 44$
Intel Pentium 2.4C - 211$
Cheiftec Case + 400 PSU - 89$
Volcano T7+ - 32$
2x256 PC 3,000 Hyper X - 94$

Intel's current P4 chips are great and Prescott looks very promising : 0.9 micron, 1 meg cache 3.4ghz, 13 mew intructons etc.

Also if your in to overclocking the current P4's are the best for that especially the 2.4 GHZ 800fsb
GoKu
that's why I got it jason. I'm going to get into real overclocking soon. Gunna pick me up a vapo/prommie haven't decided yet.. I might be getting a job dropped some apps off.. any way, i think I'll get a prescott when price - drop

Get a program called Wcpuid it lists all the processor details and doesn't need installing.

prescott will be very very hot...EXTRAMLY hot, looking at over 80c+ minimum...
meaning yeilds will be very low...
GoKu
i doubt that the temps will be at over 80 with no load.. and if so, it's safe for the CPU.. icon_confused.gif
~sid~
just saying becuase yeilds will be low...prices will be extreamly high...

"Not only will Prescott exceed the Northwood core by >20% in the heat it produces, but Prescott has a significantly smaller die. Together this means that Prescott is going to have much, much greater thermal densities than current P4s, which already produce more heat than any other desktop CPU." - vanshadware.

Yes, I enjoy using my computers very much. I don't enjoy my wife's PC when she has issues, but that's another story. icon_wink.gif

We all know how biased that vanshardware site is.
