Earthman
What company are you with? What type of phone do you want?
Earthman
But other than that... I would have to agree with LL on this one.. the t68i is a pretty funky phone, with all the bells and whistles...

Plus you can get the camera for it, and take pictures of stuff you shouldn't...

Oh wait.. that would be a bad thing.. (^_^)

DO NOT BUY smackbum.gif

I would not suggest Nokia's phones in the least bit bob... They may be the #1 maker in the world, but it does not mean they make the best phone... Keep looking and you will find that there are alot of other options...

I like my Motorola V120c. It's pretty nice, no flashy color screen or anything but, it's a nice phone. Has a web browser, email, text messaging etc.

I use mine on Verizon though, so your service might be different espically overseas.
Earthman
You are the first example of someone who enjoys their v120c nfinitefx_ That phone is the most problematic of any of the phones from the last 3 years with us...

Have you had any issues with it yet???
Lord Leveau
motorola's are like chrysler. looks damb fine, but no life-span stear clear

My only complaint is the antenna. Just to put it in baisc terms, it sucks ass.

It's so friggin flimsy, I replaced mine already with an aftermarket RadioShack one which they say is stronger. Dunno on that one, but that has been the only thing i've not liked about my phone.

Everything else I would hate about it is because of where I live. I live in the middle of no where and it's really hard to keep a good signal, or a signal at all. Most of the time when im down in college or even at the airport I get an awesome signal.
Earthman
I dunno about the life span thing there LL... possibly the TDMA/GSM phones are different than the CDMA phones.. but there are still loads of motos from 3, 4, even 10 years ago that I have seen in perfect working condition...
phantomAI
Although I'm more of a fan of flip phones as they look nice, I have a Nokia 8265. It's a pretty good size phone. Also since it has an internal antenna I don't have to worry about it breaking when I slip it in and out of my pocket. I also get a good reception.
nfinitefx_
Earthman, you said with the V120c, it being the most problamatic phone. What kind of problems are you having with it?
Earthman
Antennas breaking off, poor reception, phone book mysteriously erasing itself, not recieving calls 3/4 of the time, basically, everyone of them thaat I've seen sold have come back with teh same problem... Not a good thing.. not a good thing at all...
nfinitefx_
I'm looking to get a new phone now too, I'd like something with a color screen and compatable with Verizon Wireless, since I want to keep my FreeUP service because it kicks ass icon_smile.gif

dunno guys....i like moto. compared to my friends t62u my V70 kicks its ass in terms of audio quality. It isnt because of different networks cuz his cingular is roaming on tmobile network.
Fyend
Digging my new GPRS Nokia 6800. Its very buff.

In North America Motorola rules surpreme.. they seem to make the most durable handsets out of all the manufacturers, especially when you look at the Nextel/MiKE phones... some are intrinsically safe, and others conform to Military specs for shock and vibration...

As for sound quality... I would have to say I've only heard one phone I didn't like.. and that was an Audiovox... it was tinnier than hell, and I got rid of it in less than a week...

Right now I use a Sony-Ericsson t206 and a Motorola i95cl (MiKE/Nextel)... And I find that they both have about the same audio quality to them... incoming and outgoing.

im actully gonna get rid of mine now. I installed the new antenna and it ended up breaking a bit of plastic off the back, on the antenna slot.

I'm gonna get another motorola product though. Something with an color screen and polyphonic(sp) ring tones icon_smile.gif

Other than FreeUP by verizon, have you heard anything positive about other prepaid services, like AT&T's Go. I know I don't like TracFone so I refuse to get that.
Earthman
I have not heard a whole lot about any of the prepaid services in the US... up here in Canada tho.. the prepaid service is crap...

The rates are high, and the customer service reps are rude.. but I don't know if it's the same there or not...
