Hey... I just wanted to let everyone know that I have slacked cause I have had some family problems here. I have mentioned to a few of you that I wanted my dad to get the fock out of my house and today we got in an argument and I told him to hit the road. It wasn't pretty and I kind of feel like shit about it but he had no plans of ever leaving. For those that don't know the story, I asked him to stay with me for a while when my wife (x now) decided she wanted to _____ around... That was in October of 98 and he's been here ever since...

I have 2 kids and my youngest doesn't even remember his mother living here (when she bailed she didn't want anything to do with them

), anyway, all of this has been bound to happen for quite a while. Obviously there's way more to the story than just that but you get the jist of it. I'm not going to let anyone leech off me. Including family. I figured 5 years was enough...
Sorry about the rant/useless post. I guess I just need to vent or something.

That's why we're here, Nate. You're one of the peeps, too, and if you've got troubles we'll gladly listen to them and help as best we're able.

Just do what you need to do bro, take care of business. Don't worry about comming to the site, just take care of things. We really enjoy your company, but family matters come first. A friend that is unhappy, makes me unhappy, so feel the same pain. No nee to apologize for venting. What else are friends for?

Thanks guys, and you too Queen.
I don't think he'll be giving me anything ~sid~, part of the problem is he was paying about $200 a month toward some bills or whatever and he thought that was too much to ask of him. He even had the nerve to suggest that he shouldn't have to have to pay that much <and/> have to buy his own food

I don't get it...
I look at it this way, he's paying over $400 a month for some rent to own stuff that he doesn't need. I figure he can get an apartment for less than that (my cousin just got a place recently and he's paying $350 a month with utilities included and the same lady has more for rent).
I hear ya on the 1 month turning into 9... I've been through this with him before and it's definitely a possibility that he'll try to pull that. I plan on saying something to him again about the time frame. I kind of wanted him to be out by the time my kids go back to school but that's probably not gonna happen now.
Man I hate dealing with stuff like this...

wow man.... I feel sorry for ya. That would blow. Almost 20 yrs ago, I almost worked for a rent-2-own place. The only folks who use those places are usually those who throw their money away and can't afford it.
We were expected to be able to re-posess all the stuff cause they could not afford to keep renting it
Those places are a complete rip-off. You can buy that stuff on time from Art-Van or Gardner-White.
I am lucky to have family that takes care of themselves. My mother in law always suggests living with us someday but I would never allow it.... ever..... I'll put her in a old-folks home first.

Heh! My grandma, when we were getting furnature(sp) for the house after we built it went into one of those rent to own places because she saw a couch she wanted.
Didn't do the rent to own thing though, she gave them the cash up front and said, "we'll take these please"
The look on the guys face was undescribeable:P

yeah, that is what i mean... if you buy it, not a problem.. but the rip-off is the renting.
even after renting for years, if you want to purchase it, the price is almost what a new one would cost.
sorry if that upset you, that was not the intention. I was agreeing with you about renting can be unnessessary, wspecially if you don't need the stuff.

I totally agree. The places are just out to f*ck people with bad credit. It's the only way they stay in business.
