I can pick these up pretty cheap, and I have a SB Live Value right now, but is it really worth upgrading? I mean, sound is sound, is it really that noticeable?

IMHO, its not really worth the upgrade.... are you a music enthusiast who has an ear that can hear the very slightest unwanted "noise" from your speakers? do you do much composing/recording etc, whatever it is that enthusiasts do with making sounds/music etc.?

more importantly, do u not need the extra cash? ill take it off your hands for you lol!

nah, but really.... i think, go spend on something else more worthwhile, that you're gonna notice the difference with... now im not saying that you wont notice some sort of difference with the audigy, but im not saying that you will either. i guess one way of testing it out might be to crank it up loud, and if you hear any unwanted "static noise" then an upgrade to audigy might fix that problem (if u turn it up THAT loud, yer probably deaf by now), then again it might just be your speakers that are giving out the unwanted "static noise"... lots of factors to consider...

if you have crap speakers with an audigy, its like having a Geforce 4 Ti4600 with a 14" monitor that supports 60 hertz max.... theres just no point...or like having 4gigs of ram and running windows 95.... icon_eek.gif

blah blah blah blah blah... bla bla bla.. blabla... blah.... ramble ramble blah blah blablabla blah....

and so, therefore, i hereby come to the conclusion that, sure, if you got spare cash to burn, then by all means, buy it... just make sure yer speakers are up to par as well, or you probly wont see any sort of difference....
