Please guys, I'm not in a good mood, no negative posts here.

Noted while using the SB Live! on my IC7, when I install programs my sound lags.. and that's VERY vexing to me. I absolutely hate it. Is there any way to help or fix that? Also whenever I use a surge of CPU power, I.E alt tabing games, and such, it skips.. is the only solution to buy an Audigy 2, or should I use the shitty CH5 Onboard Realtek sound? Think that would skip?

Can you put the live on it's own irq? Sounds like it may be sharing and not liking it...

Try this.....
uninstall drivers, delete card in device manager. Shut down rig. Move sound card to different PCI slot. Start rig, intall Correct drivers.

try these. newest drivers i know of. have had that problem. once was a driver issue, second time it was the dma-config for the cd-drive

BigO is correct too... you MUST uninstall all previous drivers and re-boot... only then install the new drivers.
