I am running Win XP Pro on a A7N8X Deluxe Mobo, AMD XP 2400+, 80gig 7200 HDD, Ti4200, and 512mb Cruical PC 3200. I am want to get the best out of this system on a stable platform. I have a huge case with two 180mm rear fans and heatspreader for the ram. Please let me know any thoughts on better customizing this sytem to run together smooth and fast.

What is the cpu cooler? Seems an extra fan or 2 are in order for the case too.
Want are your temps. sandra can come close to a guesetament.

The temps are CPU 47/116 c/F and MD 28/82 c/f. I am running a Amd recommended fan graded for up to 2800+.

One thing you can do to help speed things up is get a handle on the Services that XP loads by default at start up. Many of these are unnecessary if you run a stand alone machine or are on a small network without a domain controller.
