I have a huge case with two 180mm rear fans and heatspreader for the ram. Please let me know any thoughts on better customizing this sytem to run together smooth and fast.

One thing you can do to help speed things up is get a handle on the Services that XP loads by default at start up. Many of these are unnecessary if you run a stand alone machine or are on a small network without a domain controller.

Here are a few links to help you tweak and tune your XP system:

TweakHound's Super XP Tweaking Guide
TweakXP.com
Windows XP Home and Professional Service Configurations - probably the most linked services tweaking guide around

These ought to get you off to a good start! icon_biggrin.gif
