Well I live on the outskirts of London and I like the place a lot, I like the busy life of a city with places to go 24-7.

a town is big enough for me.....

Cities are nice places to visit, but I'd rather live in the suburbs. icon_biggrin.gif

i live right in the middle of a city. everything within a 5 minute walk. trust me, you get used to that luxury way too fast.

While there are some things you give up living in the country, I would not trade it for a second. I lived near Chicago for a year and could not get out soon enough. icon_razz.gif

I'm not too sure which I prefer to tell you the truth...

I lived half my life in a town of less than 10k...

I've lived the other half in a city of 800k...

I don't like the crime, and problems related to big city life, but I do like the idea of the job market...

But then again.. I like the quiet of a small town...

I kinda like both. I grew up in Sandy, Utah - which is a major suburb of Salt Lake City, located in the southeast corner of Salt Lake Valley. Sandy has the 'not city, but bigger than small town' feel to it, and Salt Lake is growing by the day into a major metropolis. But I doubt SLC will become anything close to the likes of LA, DC, NYC, San Antonio, Dallas, and the sort because the people there are used to the 'small town' atmosphere and feeling of SLC. It's the perfect place in the world for me.

Here's a couple of shots of the area I grew up in... and these are recent as well. It's two different views of Little Cottonwood Canyon... which just 15 miles up the canyon is Snowbird ski resort, and 22 miles up is Alta ski resort.

I used to live in the lower left-hand corner of the winter picture.

God that place is gorgeous and I miss it so much.
