I heard of something from VIA but I cant find any info on it. But can any P4-supporting motherboard match the nforce2 MCP-T for quality of integrated sound?
Jason
Unfortunatly not, Nforce MCP-2 is as good or better than an Audigy 2 card.

Nvidia made a press release recently reporting that they are making a MCP-2 PCI card.

That would be VIA's Envy24 sound chip. It's supposed to give you 7.1 sound and it actually sounds decent, now that VIA has released a set of drivers for it that will do more than stereo sound. icon_rolleyes.gif However, the nForce sound is still better, IMO. I have both and the nForce sounds better through my Altec Lansing 4.1 setup.

it's not better then an audigy.. not really better then a live.. more compatible though icon_smile.gif

anyway.. see if you can find a p4 mobo with a CMI8738 on it icon_smile.gif
