NewEgg is fine at sending out decent products at decent prices, but how are they at helping a customer find a package that has been delivered to the wrong address by FedEx? I can tell you, since it happened to me on 10/27/2003.
NewEgg doesn't give a rat's ass once the package leaves their hands and FedEx says they've delivered it! It is completely within NewEgg's power to file a claim for a lost, damaged, or misdirected package with FedEx and they probably do this nearly every day. In my case, however, I'm just supposed to sit here and pay for the two floppy disk drives that I ordered and was charged for, even though Federal Express gave them to the wrong person! NewEgg's 'Customer Service' person said I should call FedEx and dispute it myself. I tried, you can't get a live person on the phone and there is no option for filing a damage claim or anything else of that nature.
Some might think that the package was stolen. There is about a 0.000001% chance of that happening in the neighborhood I live in. I've had nearly 100 packages delivered to my home and I've only been there to personally receive maybe five of them. Not once has one been taken. That's why I am convinced that the FedEx driver just plain goofed and delivered my package to someone else's house.
All I want are my two floppy disk drives. I ordered them to match a couple of my computer cases, one black and one silver. One was $7.50 and one was $8.99. I'm not trying to scam them out of anything, I just want the parts I ordered.
I won't be ordering anything from NewEgg again and I will tell anyone who asks not to order from them, either.
