Why is it that some site use bogus meta tags to try and get hits. For example this taken for a Tech site. Notice "eminem", what does this have to do about Tech News

lol.. jsut wondering.. why does j00 kare?

they do it to get more hits, which raises the value of their ads.you have to get people in the door some how, same as stores having "free after rebate" items.

It also helps them show up in search results where the search engine still uses meta tags to generate results.

I don't care I just think that it is strange that a Supposed Tech site would want to associate themselves with Eminem
