We have some new OFFICIAL Sound Blaster drivers today.. These are not posted at a leaked source they come straight from Creative ASIA.

This driver will work on SB Live 5.1; Audigy ; Audigy 2 and Audigy 2ZS:

1. Manually extract the contents of the file to your hard drive. Using Either WinZip or WinRAR.

2. Navigate to the extracted Folder and look for a folder called Drivers.

3. Double click on the file CTZAPXX.exe

4. This will start the driver updater.

5. You will be requested to reboot your computer once the process is complete. Say Yes.

These Drivers ARE WHQL Certified. They have a datestamp of 10/21/2003

Note: If you have Audigy 2 or Audigy 2ZS You may install these drivers by running the setup process normally. For all other customers of the following products:

SB Live 5.1
SB Live 5.1 Digital
SB Audigy

Use the format as I have stated above. I have just installed these drivers on to my machine and rebooted they work fine.

Please feel free to attempt to install these on any other creative sound products.

1. INSTALLATION NOTE

This driver update is only applicable if you have Creative Sound
Blaster Audigy/Audigy 2/Audigy 2 ZS. Make sure that you have the
supported hardware model and operating system before using this
driver update.
This EAX 4.0 driver update is not meant for USB Sound Blaster
Audigy 2 NX or other external Sound Blaster audio products.



2. UNINSTALLATION STEPS
--------------------

If you later wish to install older or newer versions of Audigy 2 or
Audigy 2 ZS drivers, you must first uninstall the EAX 4.0 driver
update. To uninstall the EAX 4.0 ADVANCED HD driver, do the
following:

For Windows XP/2000:
1. Click Start -> Settings -> Control Panel.
2. Double-click the System icon.
3. When the System Properties dialog box appears, click the
Hardware tab.
4. Click the Device Manager button.
5. Double-click the Sound, video and game controllers icon.
6. Right-click your audio driver, and click Uninstall.

For Windows Me/98 SE:
1. Click Start -> Settings -> Control Panel.
2. Double-click the System icon.
3. When the System Properties dialog box appears, click the
Device Manager tab.
4. Double-click the Sound, video and game controllers icon.
5. Right-click your audio driver, and click Remove.

Poof Gone...

Too many people jump on the bandwagon for the newest thing, then spend the rest of the time complaining this or that doesn't work, computer hangs, this thing locks up. I just get mine to where it works the way I want, then leave it the hell alone!
