On average, when you step out for the evening, do you where jeans/shirts and are totally casual. Dress casual or dressy? Where do you usually go and have you a favorite haunt or haunts? Do you have a strip that you can walk up and down and choose whatever facility suits your mood?

Tshirt and either jeans or khakis. I never believed in dressing up to go out. Favorite spot to haunt is The Saloon for monkeyboy pitchers.

if stepping out for the evening:
typically jeans and a button-down shirt. I'm not one for pullovers, and if I am stepping out I must surely be out of town on business and going for the local watering hole with the guys for a little stress relief.
More realistically: if I'm home, typically in either a pair of insulated coveralls or "car shorts and tshirt" <depending on the season> with smatterings of weld spatter, grease, 90 weight gear lube, and mud droppings from the Jeep. <See, when I'm in town I VERY rarely go to the pub, and it's a safe bet I am working on the Jeep or Blazer - in fact I just now stepped back inside from removing the front bumper and measuring out for a custom front winch bumper I hope to build tomorrow>. Some folks go out and drink for something fun to do to take their minds off things and destress. I weld and beat miscellaneous agravating Jeep parts with a bloody BIG hammer!

Since 99% of the time I go out, it's screaming into the bar in an effort to make last call after work...work clothes.

Typically black pants and a black shirt of some kind, work boots, usually with show passes on the lanyard around my neck.

Now, if I'm
going out, it depends if it's a date, or just to hang with friends. Just with friends, casual, usually a pullover shirt of some kind, pants or shorts depending on weather. For a date, shirts that button, makeup, something of an effort with my hair instead of just pulling it back. If it's a date after work, I usually change into something more...um...can't think of the word I want here. I hate that.
Usually I end up at "my" bar, especially after work or hanging out with friends. But lately I've been ending up at a few different places, since this new friend of mine hangs at 3-4 different bars besides mine.

If I'm just off to the pub for a natter and some beer then it's jeans and a casual shirt. If I'm eating out then casual trousers and a decent shirt.
I don't acually go out that much, locally it's usually a quiet pub outside the city centre where you can hear each other speak without a megaphone. I've been eating out a lot recently because I'm away on business 2-3 nights a week, we're working our way 'round the eateries in Ripon.

Here in the northern NY back woods the style changes with the seasons. Right now it is either camo or red plad with green felt pants. Spring is jeans, bug dope and mud boots summer is open to personal whim fall is flannel shirt and mud boots
