If you could start over what is the one thing that you would definitely change?
crowdesign
The way I handled some things, but I guess every thing has worked out. Maybe not to what I would like some times, but hey what the hell you gonna do.

I would have taken the offer and gone to medical school. icon_twisted.gif

That's a tough one, in 58 years lots of things to change, I wouldn't want to go through it again, there would be a lot of changes and I would have probably ended up in the crapper anyway.

Stayed single at least until much later in life. Not had kids, had 5. I've done the best I could with the hand I was dealt. I guess if I couldn't play the game I should have stayed away from the table. Maybe if I had done different jobs my body wouldn't have worn out so quickly.

Nothing. I am a result of all my choices in life - if a changed any of those choices I might not have HK and the girls right now. This is a question I've thought about a lot.

We are who we are and where we are with the people we are with as a result of ALL the decisions that we have or haven't made, choices that we have or haven't acted upon and actions we have or haven't taken. I am tempted to say that I would change a number of things however the past is the past. No going back. The present and the future are open to our heart and decisions. If I had made one decision that meant that I couldn't have met Eric, Wdoll/HK, Gandalf/Princess, Gaz, Baz, Twiztid, AceHigh, Goofproof, majorbumgas, ....and all you other great folks, my life indeed would be that much poorer. And that would break my heart forever.

I would like to have been able to handle situations differently, so that all the fights with my mom over the years could have somewhat been avoided. I would have like to never have been with Ashley and believe Bart when he thought she was a bit weird ( I didn't see it then because I liked her, but its clear as day now). That was a waste of time. Ah well I am glad that is done with!

Probably buy Microsoft stock. Then I could fulfill my fantasy in the "Enough money to do what I wanted." thread. icon_smile.gif Nothing really. Life is good today and what I did yesterday is why I am here today.

I'd have started flying MUCH earlier, I'd probably be flying a 747 by now if I had. I'd also gotten rid of my ex a lot earlier!

A lot of valid and interesting answers. So,,,, now given the chance to change, can you or will you?
surv1
Nope...too late.
the_burner
You can change your future with a better understanding of the past.

Some things can't be changed.

See above. lol. icon_wink.gif Can't change the past, but we can take a better path thru the future.

Yeah, but some things are time constrained, and can't be changed, no matter how much we want to.

Yes, that is true and also sad, to a certain extent. But as Yoda would say: Do, we must, there is no "try." lol. icon_wink.gif

My philosophy is simple: You can't change the past but you can learn from it.

So many things... so many chances... so many decisions... but none I regret. There is really no point looking back on the paths that I have chose and wanting to change them, but only to learn from them. If everyone's life is perfect, then there would be no meaning in life now would it? The meaning of life; our goal in life that we work hard toward is to be happy, as simple as that. I can say I could be happier if I can change my past, but I am not sad now either. There are things that I want to change, but only for the present and future, and not in the past.
