You have just won the mini lottery. Your time for retirement has arrived. You've made all the arrangements to secure your domicile. Where are you travelling to first? And why?

Europe, more specifically Germany. I am half German and have always wanted to visit the area, and since I speak German fairly well I figure it is a natural fit.

Thanks, LL. I do try to come up with some of interest. Also, I was bored and burned out from reading, working and doing crap around the apartment. So....

Asia is a dream of mine also, however there are people in Canada, the U.S. and the U.K. that really should be dropped in on. Bless you Gaz, Baz, and Wdoll.

Don't use the travel agent I did!

I stayed in a 30 mile circle of Saigon, It reminded me of Southern Ill, except for the heat. the best sunsets in the world, mainly due to all the dust we were making. Too bad there was no time to smell the roses then.

If it was summer I would travel across Canada. I think it just would be fun. Winter time I would probably hang out on a beach in the Caribbean for awhile. Do not need a reason for that.

I would go to Europe to tour ww1 & 2 battlefields and memorials followed by australia to see the outback!
More realistically, next spring I am driving across Canada to Alberta to visit my bro then driving back through the northern US States.

I'll soon be able to vouch for Alaska.
Been to Saudi, Kuwait, and "various other countries" in the region. Thanks, no.
Would LOVE to have about a month or soin Australia for some serious 4-wheeling exporation of the outback with a diesel Land Rover D90 <as much as I love my Jeeps, I'd want something I could easily get parts for, that was gut-simple to work on, would take fairly well to water crossings, and got good mileage>.
I suppose I should mention a visit to a certain sawed-off, deranged, crochety old Canuck lest he get mouthy.

The UK would be nice as well as many other places...

Australia first to dive the Great Barrier Reef, Scotland is a must, back to the Amazon (very cool place, by the way), Great White diving in South Africa, Thailand, and there are a number of places in Europe I'd like to go back to. Never been to the Pacific Northwest either. Both U.S. and Canadian trips would be cool. I've always been partial to the Caribbean and Central and South America though. Most of my time would probably be spent bouncing around there.

Tour of the states, driving down to Tucson Arizona, San Angelo, stopping in on the way in places like Ohio, Illinois, Alabama and such either going or coming back, shoot over to Mississippi, and then up to NJ, Conneticut, Toronto, North Bay and the like. Hopefully someday across to the pond to see my friends in England and Scottie land.
