www.newegg.com

Best online store for buying computer parts

For wires and LED's and switches, just go check Radio Shack (the shipping from an online site is more than the price of the item in many cases for something that small)

Do u have an Idea of what you want to do OR just asking in general?

If you want case-specific *no pun intended* help, I can look around for you I'm really really bored. So ya..

Newegg's prices are a little high in comparison to MWave.com and TCWO in most cases. But they seem to have a larger inventory selection in some areas.

Here's where I'd recommend looking for computer modding stuff: Directron.com

Ya don't necessarily need a Dremel or Dremel skills to mod a case and have it turn out good. Most of time, picking the right colors for paint, and continuing the theme (rather than changing part way through) is what I've noticed makes good case mods vs. bad case mods.

Even the most skilled Dremel person out there will turn out a turd if the rest of the case isn't done right.

Can you draw? Can you paint? Can you apply decals? How about cutting strips or designs out of vinyl tape? How about gluing appliques and other stuff on the case and blending in? Or even using a jig-saw and cutting a window, then cleaning up the inside wiring and adding a light or two?

Sky's the limit Manny, and I think you've got a case in your head that's dying to come out. Pick up a beater or throw-away case and practice on it.

My wife's case was done using only paint and magic markers. OK - I used a Dremel to cut the 'Eye' out on the front. But the point is, there's more to it than just cutting a hole in it, adding lights, changing fans or fan grills and whatnot - it's the sum of all those mods that make it really cool.

Oh - and here's another good source for Case Mod supplies: Xoxide.com
