Well folks, call the paddy wagon, I am off on what's called (for you European folks) Black Friday! and surely have lost my mind to be doing this. This will be the first Black Friday I have ever attended? I sure hope I make it back alive? I was up at the early morning time of 4:00 Am New Jersey time and I am now waiting for the girls to pick me up! We will stop for coffee and then pace in front of the store of our choice! We will be able to fight, kick, scream, and punch anyone who get's in our way. Because, the item for a loved one that is desired on Christmas is worth it all!!!!! (Well supposedly!)

Wish Me Luck!!!!!

Good Luck love! and have fun......(I think!) icon_biggrin.gif

Christmas shopping en masse? Good luck to you but definitely not something I'd like to do! icon_eek.gif

Y'all have some essential wiring loose, I'm thinking. To get up early to go shopping???? Kooks! Kooks I tell you. icon_wink.gif Best of luck regardless.

See, you all don't get it - it's easier for HK to stay up UNTIL 4AM then get up AT 4AM. My darling wife is not a morning person, she's written out congressman asking him to either outlaw the term or have it stricken from the books.

SHe is very cute though... and has a nice rack too!
Old Dad
Honey, you have guts from hell. I don't have the intestinal fortitude to shop the day after Thanksgiving. Be sure to let us know how it was.(exhibits strong confidence of her safe return).

I just had to go to Menard's (hardware/lumber store) to get a couple boards and a circuit breaker...OMFG!!!! What a bunch of freaking loons!!! icon_eek.gif

Thank god I have a friend who is a shopper...gave her my list last night. icon_wink.gif

Mister 4x4
Hmmm - so it's actually called 'Black Friday.' Interesting.

No way in Hell am I going shopping.

I will, however, be picking up some 9mm ammo and heading to the range with Ace and Mongo. Gotta hone the skills for good shopping experiences. icon_biggrin.gif

Shopping? Today? NO F**KING WAY! I have always thought this crap was a bit overboard. I used to work retail and remember watching the running, the shoving, the arguing, and just plain stupidity people exhibited just to save a few bucks on some item that usually wound up being returned after the holiday anyways.

HK, hope you had fun, and here's hoping that you decide online gift purchase is easier.

She's baaaaaaaaaaaaack!!!! And intact!

Exactly what I was thinking! I won't even walk into a convenience store to purchase a soda today!

I do most of my shopping online now, with a few trips into select stores for specific items and usually one trip to the mall...on a Monday...in early December...for those few people I can't ever think of anything for.

Wimps!!!!!! Live dangerously, elbow that fellow shopper out of the way to get the last Cabbage Patch doll....
HelloKitty
Well, I am back! What can I say, shirts for $3, yea it happens to be for a good reason. Crazy, but it works out. Turned out that people were on line at Wallmart at 5:00 Am. I haven't napped yet but hey? Ya n ever know. The sale only lasted till 11:00 AM. I think they also had a 25 In. Flat screen TV for $99 and DVD players for $25.

I hated those people, they were pushing and ramming us with their carts! Mostly people that didn't speak English or looked like they lived on the streets! The store was hot and all I could smell, we're a lot of people that needed Deoderant!

Most of the stuff I buy does NOT go on sale for Black Friday...nor does it come from Wal-Mart, the store advertising the most crap and earliest shopping.

As a side note: holy crap! Are Cabbage Patch dolls back too???? Man...all the toys from when I was a kid are coming back...I think I'm gonna win on "buying" presents for my nieces, since I still have all that stuff. icon_mrgreen.gif

lol!!!!! No, B - they aren't back in "that" way but they have been back for a couple of years. Actually here all the stores were running sales from 6 to 12 - even CompUSA!

I think it's a gene pool thingy. People who engauge in this phenomonan consider it a sporting event, much the same as crash up derby.
They may also suffer from Two-fer syndome.
Two-fer syndome is characterize as the constant need to buy 2 for 1 items.
even though the items are over-priced to begin with and they have no use for the item.

Ha, ha

Consume, Consume, Consume!!!!!
amandabobanda
Did you score any good deals???!!
Demon
Despite marcus' POV, HK scored good deals and stuck to the list landing several of the girls' wish list items on sale.
amandabobanda
Oooh, sales are GREAT!!!!!

Damn...and here I thought I could save a bunch of money giving away all my old crap... *sigh* icon_wink.gif

A lot of stores here had sales from either 5-11 or 6-11 as well, but Wal-Mart was the one pushing it the hardest. I think mom got up and went somewhere <Kohl's, maybe?>, but she didn't come home with much. Both of us have a hard time buying stuff purely because it's on sale, when we don't know that anyone wants it.

Man, I tell you. If anyone complains about the econemey being low they weren't out shopping Friday. I had to park what seemed like 1/2 a mile away from the mall entrence...and then the mall was packed. I have never seen so many people shopping at the same time :P

That really is insane! What a bunch of losers! I would never do that. People really have no cooth! I guess shopping is a lot like hunting, you get up early, wait and pace near item of designation. When the moment is right you . . . http://www.emotipad.com/newemoticons/Big-Kiss.gif

Shopping the day after thanksgiving is brutal. People beat the hell out of each other just so they can get their kid a toy which he or she will be sick of in 2 months, if that icon_smile.gif

Do your kids a favor, buy them a big screen tv icon_biggrin.gif
FlightsimGuy
Cool smiley HK!!! Wonder if peeps'll adopt it. . . .some people will probably abuse it icon_biggrin.gif.

Damn near all of my shopping will be done via this little glowing box I'm staring at...
