In your life do you have a same dream over and over, If so what is it?
At the age of 7, I used to be woken from a dream of running across a street. Half way across, my legs would get tired and weak, a car was coming, I always awoke before the car hit.
When I was 12 I was riding my bike to the park. Railroad tracks crossed the road at a 45 degree angle and caught my front wheel dumping me and the bike in the middle of the highway. A tractor trailer truck was following me and when he got stopped my bike and I were under his engine but unhurt, except for small cuts.
Your Turn!

I've never had a reoccuring dream. I'd be hard pressed to remember any details of any dream after the first 10 minutes of waking up.

Same three all the time:
Falling and as I hit and bounced up I would wake up.
The moon in the sky would get bigger and bigger until it was so big it crushed me.
I was being chased down South Drive and the tree were bent over trying to grab me. Also, behind me was breathing and running footsteps that got louder and louder and I was always slowing down like I was running thru molasses.

The only reoccuring dream I can remember is that I am back in the Navy stationed at one of my old duty stations. Kind of wierd.

I've only had a couple and they were pretty recent (this summer). Same dream two times and they were both about my now ex-girlfriend. Weird....

Two also, from childhood.
One is that I'm in my mother's house and it's surrounded by wolves. They won't attack unless they can see me, so I try to hide out of sight of the windows, but every time I look there's a window I hadn't thought of <for some reason it never occurs to me to get in a closet, or the storm cellar>. I run from room to room looking for a safe place to hide, and the wolves get closer. I always wake up before anything more happens.
The other one is one I have every time I have a high fever. I'm carrying a heavy load of something, and I have to keep it balanced <I think sometimes it's a big stack of books, stretching up to the sky>. At the same time, I've got to use one hand to touch all the surfaces of all the walls and ceilings around me, every square inch. I usually wake up stretched in a corner crying because I can't reach the ceiling.
Now, here's something I just thought of...why doesn't anyone ever have a GOOD recurring dream?

Maybe we only get one shot at the good ones. you are right I can't remember having a good one twice. I have a hard time remembering any good ones at all. I lot of my dreams seem to be work related even back 10 years or more. I think dreams are your mind's way of dealing with stress. I always had funny thing occur with dreams.
If I was working and had a problem with equipment I couldn't repair, when I woke up in the morning I would have the answer clear as a bell. This has happened a lot, I don't dream about the problem, the answer just appears, kind of like stepping back to see the whole picture.

When I was a kid we lived on a farm/ranch. We had one cow who was black and white. She was sort of scary to me I guess and she would chase you if you got in her way. So several times I dreamed she was chasing me and I came to a cliff and was so scared of her I jumped off and as I was falling she would be below me and I was falling on her head.
Another dream I had a few times was of the rocking beam oil pumps you see in lots of oil fields. The dream would start with me hearing a sort of thump thump thump noise then I would know a bunch of these oil pumps were coming to get me. Funny, now I work in an evil polluting refinery.

I don't have a recurring dream, persay. But a recurring theme. I always end up with water and bridges. Sometimes climbing over them, but always seems to be broken in some way. What is bizarre is that some dreams have nothing to do with bridges, but always seem to end up with one.

When I was quite young, in my teens I always had this dream of being able to swim so fast and kick my feet so quickly that I would have rooster tails coming from the action of my feet, my arms windmilling in a blur and I would actually plane on top of the water and be able to keep up with fast boats!!!! Boy, those dreams were fun and funny.

Don't have them much anymore, but used to dream something bad or evil was after me, couldn't move or scream, just before it got me I would wake up, and think thank goodness only a dream, and realized the evil was still after me, and again just before it got me would wake up.....until finally would really wake up with sweat and tears pouring down my face. Rough, glad I don't have those anymore.
