I seem to have a lot of trouble posting nice neat links here. I would have thought it was not such a difficult thing to do as this seems to be the standard popular forum software that is used all over the place. Anyway when I click the http:// button and it wants the link which I paste in. Then it wants the title of the page or whatever and I type in what I like. Then it gets posted in the message/post and it does seem to work but it shows the HTML in the link whereas I would have expected it to be hidden. So just what am I doing wrong?

You'll have to hit the quote button, like your responding to my post, to see all the code. But what it looks like is that you inserted a link twice. The first time you used the link address as the text.

Are you pasting the link first, or simply hitting the http button? All you need to do is hit the http button and paste it there.

As far as I know I am hitting the link button, then following directions. It says to insert link here and I do, then it says put page title here, and I put in the text I want to go with the link. I will try if a few more times. I must be doing something creative. I should add that I have no trouble with the same function on TTZ so there is something different. Has to be.

4peeps uses completely different software than TTZ, so it won't be exactly the same. It's pretty close, though.

I don't know that I've ever used to button to post a link, though, I'm so used to just entering the code...

OC, this is what I did: I clicked on the "http://" button. Then I put "http://www.newegg.com" in the first box and "newegg" in the second box:
