For the purpose of this poll, let me clarify what I mean by people food verses pet food.
While we all know that something sold and labled as cat/dog food, what we're talking about the little extras here.
What I don't count as people food here are:
1. Treats such as pieces of meat etc. that are given as a reward for training or good behavior.
a. IF, your vet wouldn't have a problem with the food.
IE chocolate bon-bons count as people food.
b. And it is not served in a people food type dish or setting.
IE putting your dinner plate on the floor for your pet to clean up after you eat, is people food.
Scraping your leftover beef stew into the dog dish is pet food.
Feeding your begging dog while at the dinner table isn't pet food.
I think you get the idea.

Before I had to put him down, Charlie Brown got dry dog food twice a day, I cooked him 1/2 a hot dog each meal to go with it. also he got my leftovers and tough meat. He never meant a food he didn't like. his hind legs became paralyzed, he was a 50lb Dalmatian-bird dog mix. He ate the tile off the floor(all of it), the wall tile 4 foot high up on the walls, the kitchen cabinets, and all the Tupperware in them and all his throw rugs. He wasn't smart but he was my friend.

My dog is the center of my day which we spend togeather everyday. Ironicly I sell pet food at the retail level. My dog doesn't beg at the table or otherwise he is not allowed in the living room or upstairs in our bedrooms but that seems perfectly OK with him. He is after all a dog, a pet though a damn fine one that I wouldn't trade for all the money or dancing girls in the world. He does get treats but always in his bowel and never from the table (cepting when I get drunk then I am lible to throw him any old thing he wants) He is my best friend and I trust and like him a lot better than a lot of people I know. If you don't believe me ask Pappy.

I would give my Cat Harvey some proper people food such as Tuna Chuck in which become his Favorites!! D'oh!
And only yesterday my mother told me to wash his bowl with different cloth!! My first thought is "What are you talking about! As I share my home with Harvey the cat so he share the same thing as I use. No special old fork just for scooping cat food which assemble as a reject muck!!"
Mother said that it not healthy! I think she is giving me a unhealthy advise there!!
