Depends on my mood. Normally, I don't drink beer, I stick to the hard stuff. icon_smile.gif

But, in no particular order:

And, on Mister 4x4's recommendation, which I have to go south to get, dammit:

Gotta be the Armadillo Eh?

My Preference:

But this is my usual, and a damn fine substitute at that:

A good friend of mine recently turned me on to this - which works well when you can't get Guinness on tap:

A few Lagers, G & T's, plenty of wine.

But mainly the black stuff.
BigO
Bud

If I can get it, Theakston's Mild. Otherwise most bitters and the odd lager (particularly with food).

Miller Lite tongue_smilie.gif

Since college, where I was weened on the local brew; Rolling Rock, I haven't been much of a beer drinker.
My choice when I do is still local beers.
Rolling Rock and Yingling Black and Tan.
A while back, I use to go to a store that had a huge selection. I'd come home with a six pack of individual bottles just to try them. You know 6 bottles, six different brands. Expensive little game but what the hell, it was interesting.
After trying at least 10-15 dozen you know what my conclusion was?
Almost everyone makes some great beers except the big named brand American ones. Which include anything by Anhisier-Busch, Miller, and Coors.
Overpriced piss water.
One beer that doesn't seem to have an acceptable substitute is Guiness Stout.
But, I'm sure those on the other side of the pond will tell us that what they are exporting to us is crap anyways.

How very odd - as much as I like the guy who drives their Winston Cup car - 'scuse me - Nextel Cup car - I can't stand the stuff.

But I have to admit, this is still my favorite 'beer can:'

I used to drink Bud, but it gives me a splitting headache now. icon_neutral.gif
Mister 4x4
Bud does me the same - as with Miller. If I'm going for cheap domestics, I'll still with Coors Light, Keystone & Keystone Light, and Michelob Light. I've had Natural Light before, and it's not bad (another Bud product). I mostly stick with the medium to darker beers - but not stouts - on a regular basis. An occastional Guinness or Sam Adams Cream Stout hits the spot though.
Demon
Yeungling, Sam Adams, Tsingtao, Hatuey, JW Dundee Honey Brown, Sam Smith...
the_burner
Old Vienna isn't too bad either.

I actually grew up on Old Milwaukee. My uncle is a distribitor and got us cheap kegs. Gotta admit, it's a decent beer and a good price. yes.gif

When we were in college my freshman year, we used to get Goebel and Goebel light for $5 a case. It sucked and made serious ass spray the next morning, but it got the job done. icon_mrgreen.gif
Demon
Schmidt's... $8 for a case - it's recycled!
the_burner
Oy, a question. When you say case do you mean a 12 or a 24?

Depends really, I usualy specifiy because cases come in 12's, 18's 24's...tons of different packing schemes :P
Ciggie
Natty is the most disgusting stuff ever. I'm a college kid and refuse to drink it, the lowest I'll go is Miller Lite, but other than that it is Yuengling.

In my world, a case is 24. A 12-pack is...well...12. icon_lol.gif

And I am somewhat proud to say that the cheapest beer I've ever drank, even when I was in college, was Stroh's. I've never been able to stomach the $5/case swill, and when my ex was buying that crap, I used to bring my own. icon_lol.gif

HK drank all my beer!!!!!!!!

Now I gotta go out and get some more.

Aside from beer I actually like the hard ciders during the summer - WoodChuck and Woodpecker are two that come to mind.

And then there's "Dirty Dick Ale"... I don't drink it, I just thought it was worth mentioning.

As you were.
