Read through a most amusing but very old thread at the other place, giggled like mad.
Which I needed, after getting off the phone with the unemployment office (actually caught them when they were open, and didn't have to wait on hold for upwards of a half hour). It seems it sucks to be me, according to them. It doesn't matter that they never sent me the paperwork explaining why I owe them restitution for benefits they paid me anywhere near the time they "overpaid" me (just got the second past due notice in the mail yesterday from last year May), I have to pay them anyway, with interest, by way of them appropriating my state tax refund. I can dispute it, but since it'll already be a done deal, the odds are against me.

Cleaned cat area, put out fresh cat food and water for Evelyn.
Laundry in washer.
Bed stripped.
Making list for today's activities.
Bunging in coffee.
Cleaned kitchen a little.
Going to water hallway plant (outside of my apartment). The caretaker has moved the second plant to the north hallway. I don't believe it will fair too well there as there is not much sunlight. I have been promised a cutting from the big plant (rubber I think) and have told Myron (caretaker) that when I split my Dragon plants (3 in one pot) that he/the building may have one of them.
I like plants and I seem to have a green thumb. Guess it's all the talking I do with them.

-removed front winch bumper from my Jeep
-went to the drugstore for icyhot for my back <jesus I built that thing heavy duty!>
-went nuckin' futz with the new sawzall on the assorted bracketry, etc, that is in the way
-cut about 15 pounds of steel off the above-mentioned front bumper <should just built the darn thing with plate in the first place, and not angle!> with the sawzall.
I LOVE my new toy!!

What else can you use for metal work AND tree surgery? Ruh, ruh, ruh.....
-after about an hour outside, remembered that people with no hair should wear a hat in heat like this <gotta be every bit of 90>- so put my boonie hat on <probably too late, as I'll no doubt find while mowing the dome tonight>
-marked the passenger's framerail for grinding and welding, and having a workable plan for the kit, decided to take a break....
-came inside and while talking to my son telling him in a gentle way that he needs to clean up his mess, the wife blasted me for making too much noise.
 meh... as hard as I am to live with, she's got a lot of that due her, so I can't get too upset. Many the time have I done the same.

-took two trips to Harbor Freight for grinding bits and assorted odds and ends
-made the modifications to the plate for the reinforcement, and checked the weather for tomorrow. Decided I won't get this thing welded in today, as I still have to drop teh steering box and alternator to access the inside plate areas. So I'll use today as a prep day <trimming down the plates, modifying the bumper, etc> and use tomorrow for welding.
-modifed the trailer hitch ball <why in the world did they put a 5" long shank on the darn thing?> so that it won't hang up so much when I forget to take it off when wheeling
-took a nap with my son and wife
-tested out the surplus British Army jerricans I bought from loadup.com for a song <$9 per, as opposed to $45 new!> by filling with water and putting them in every conceivable orientation <upside down, etc>. Good to go. Drained 'em, left the tops ajar and stacked them to let them evap the water. Considering ordering 4 more <I already had one> so each of my offroadable rigs has a spare tanks' worth of gas available while wheeling or during hurricane season <"tryin' to reason with hurricane season.....">
-solved the hard throttle problem in my Blazer-- a little CLP down the linkage worked wonders
-found out the wierd noise I've had out of the front of the XJ is from the disconects for the swaybar. Will address that in future.

which meant I got to test out my new welder burning in a piee of 1/4" to some 5/16", with a 1/4" gap on one side <meh- nobody said this shit was SQUARE!>
COMPLETELY stoked about my new welder. Welds 1/4" in single pass with no problems whatsoever. My welds are looking damn good, too, if I do say so myself...

Had an Easter get together with my family. Had a pretty good time. One little mistake though. My brothers in-laws are super religious to the point they don't like my nephew playing with ninja turtle. I was unaware he was with my brother and I was playing UT2K4 with auto taunts turned on. Nothing like having your brothers in-laws hear you say just let me kill these guys real fast while the computer is auto taunting. Specifically saying "You Wh$re!". Yeah, I feel I made the proper impression.
