Mom dropped me off at work, did a short loadin, bummed a ride from a friend so I could get home, got my schedule lined up through next week Sunday.
It's a perfect day to wash the car (74 and sunny with a light breeze out of the south)...too bad it's sitting in a repair shop 80 miles away.

Watched one of the best AHL hockey games I've seen in a long time....only to then watch my home team lose Game 1 of the playoffs in overtime.

Oh yeah...I was working, too...spotlight. Sometimes that's hard to remember, especially when we get a goal. Process goes something along the lines of "YES!!! Who was that? Right... (tonight anyway) it was Miller with a hat trick for the night! Oh crap...I'm supposed to light him and then ballyhoo until the game starts up again!" Followed by me scrambling to get the light on and pointed appropriately.
I love hockey.

Decided I'm glad I quit smoking other than that glitch when the car blew up.
Wished I didn't have to work tonight, or failing getting out of work entirely, that I'd get moved to the arena football game instead of the ballet loadout because it's less effort and time for the same money.

Went to the same company picnic Ace went to, drank a couple of beers, watched a couple of known kiss-asses in action kissing some ass, and a couple of people who've alienated certain other people try to befriend them again with the same air of phonieness they've always had. Pathetic.
All-in-all, a typical company picnic - tons of good food though.
After I left, however, I went to an even better picnic, and got some four wheelin' in as well. I found out on the way home that the Concho 4 Wheelers had a 'fun day' today at the lake - which I missed by not attending the meeting this past Tuesday (I was wiped out...).
A good day.
* Ace falls into the category of 'good people' though... so none of the above comments about the company picnic apply to him.

Worked on a program in OpenGL. Started to wish that my professor explained the code more in depth instead of the physics behind the code. Hopefully he will show us how to write programs for 3d.
Then mowed the lawn. I had to stop to fix the mower because the handle was around my mid thigh instead of my waist and it was killing my back. First I tried to jack it up real fast with twigs because I wanted to finish mowing first. Didn't work. Then I tried to tie it up with string. Also didn't work. Finally I went for the all out fix with nuts and bolts. By the time I was done I only had a little bit of time to mow before it went dark. So I have to get up early tomorrow to finish. Not to mention I destroyed a sprinkler head in the near darkness.
If I would have just went for the sure fix instead of the quick fix I would be done by now.
So afterward I took a jump in the pool. Apparently 70 degree water is not fit to swim in when its only 75 outside. Talk about cold.
Finally made it back to my computer to see I had missed out on a chat. Yeah, my away message is always up because I run mainly on AIM and I like to have a quote up at all times. So feel free to message me. If I don't reply I must be either really away or playing a game.

Bummed a ride to the med center to see if I could get something done about this hellacious cough...and ended up paying $282 to get out the door. I'm not even going to bother to try to get my prescriptions, there's no point. I have $6.42 left in my checking account until my refund check clears, and 99% of that is going to ransom my car.

just up the corridor, the layout of our offices is quite good to be honest,
There is a main office with 40 people in, a corridor off this with a meeting room, the small 2 person office i am now in, a cumfy back office with sofa's and the office i was in with 4 other people, good laugh but could be easily too noisy and distracting, especially when i had to get stuff done. We also have two offices downstairs with 5 people in each, had to move them about...
