-went to look at the house I had an appointment to look at Tuesday at 10am <realtor didn't call and tell me it was cancelled> at 10 am today.
-realtor was not there. Called realtor-- "oh it was 11 o'clock" <uh, no....>
-chalked up the second of 3 strikes and he's out.
-looked at the house at 11 <at this point I'm late back from "lunch"> and liked what I saw. Told him I'd like to look at it sunday with the wife. HUGE back yard, not bad spacially inside the house, external storage shed, full attic for storage, and a garage. Owner is an HVAC commercial engineer, and just installed a new unit laast year, so that makes me feel good about it. I can deal... thinking I'll have the wife look over it and we'll investigate the next move.

Found out how to reset passwords on a Win2k machine without knowing any logon accounts or passwords. One into the machine got it prepped to hand over to it's new owner next Monday.

Made the first batch of cookies, now letting the dough for the second batch firm up in the refrigerator before trying to work with it.
My stepmom finally called, and made arrangements to go to lunch with her and my dad next Wednesday for my birthday (which was the 10th).
Am slowly coming to the conclusion that just because I'm out of prescription doesn't mean I'm not still sick.

Using Linux?

Unfortunately, but one can't have everything.

It was the first tool that came up in Google.
Peter Nordahl's Ntpasswd toolThis makes it 1 all with Linux for me. Sorted out this problem, but let me down badly when a Linux email appliance locked up and keeled over, leaving 25 people without email for a week.

Install mySql and PHP in order to get local stats logging in UT2k4. Also installed OLStat2.0 and
UTStatDB. Took most of the day but I got it done. A word of advice to anyone trying to set it up. Don't forget to you need to parpse the logs before you see anything. Info is in the Readme so read it very carefully.

-finished off the frame part of the welding on my Jeep. All that is left is to slot the holes by about 1/4" for the plates that I had to cut off so that they sandwich the bumper mounts and make everything reinforced by everything else, and weld 'em on. About an hour's work.
-VERY glad to be done with all that out of position welding, but I have improved my welding a great deal over the last week or so. The rosette welds that I made in horizontal overhead position <welding a plate under the chassis, while it's clamped in place- so I was welding and trying to keep from pooling the liquid metal OFF the workpiece as I welded-- a fine line and I am told the mark of one who knows WTF they are doing> were BEAUTIFUL, if I do say so myself.. and I DO. Made the first rosette then started beating hell out of it with the 6 pound sledge. It didn't budge. Then I made about 8 more Rosettes and am confident in the finished product.
/me rules with the welding, yo!
-had a "stupid dad moment". Picked my son up from daycare early, and when we got home told him to grab something to drink for us both- couple bottles of water <the AC is dead in my Blazer and it was 88 outside, 120 inside the truck>. He grabbed a package of those Hershees Swoops chocolates and I just completely didn't even think about it, letting him have them before dinner.
-had to deal with a SEVERELY wouond up 3 year old tickling the heck out of me and running around being an obnoxiously cute little terror for about 3 hours. He finally went to bed about 10:20. ... and the populace rejoiced....

Due to operator error in uninstalling a special piece of software, I had to reformat MoneyPit 2, It needed it so I wasn't too unhappy, I didn't get to prepare for it though, so I have a lot of extra to do to recover. I'm getting better only going to take 15 hours to repair, last time it was 30 hours.

Finished making all my cookies, packaged them up to go to their various recipients (with a little left over for home).
Went to work, where I was the most popular girl due to my providing not only three of the locals but both of the road people with Hawaiian shirts.

On the way home, ended up calling 911 to report someone who I'm pretty sure was arrested shortly thereafter for driving like a freaken dumbass on the freeway (saw the car pulled over, with someone in the back of the state cop's cruiser). Speed varying from 50mph to 90mph, tailgating, refusing to pass, swerving in and out of traffic... I usually am a "live and let live" kind of driver due to how many hours I spend on freeways, but there are limits.
Stopped at the bar, then came home, now unwinding some more before getting to bed to face the ridiculous number of hours I will have to work the next couple of days.
Edit for dumbass punctuation error.

Got up early and had my last meal on board the M.S. Holiday. Disembarked and tooled around in the French Quarter for 5-6 hours. Eating , shopping , eating ... . Took the shuttle to the airport. Got on a short one hour flight to Bham and found our Surbuban still waiting for us . Cranked right up and drove home. Arrived to a dark house with no dogs and two pretty pissed off cats. Fired up the computers and checked the snail mail and emails. In a minute a brewski or two to relax from all the traveling.

Left for work at the usual time only to discover that construction has started, and I had a ten-mile detour, so I called and told them I'd probably be late.
Walked into the theatre with 30 whole seconds to spare.

Did a show, then went out for dinner to my favourite Mediterranean restaurant, then back for a second show.
Drove home in a monsoon. Now unwinding before heading to bed so I can do it all over again tomorrow (less the being late part, I'll leave a half hour earlier).

-took the kid to B-A-M to get a new Thomas train, picked up a couple books and mags myself <Australian 4X4 Monthly, Peterson's, and .. let's just say a book the wife will enjoy.>
-went to one of my 3 year old's friend's birthday party
-went to the Battery soccer game with wife and kid in tow. It was the company picnic- not the best place for small children <boring>
-found out about 5pm that the other folks' offer that had been put on the table for the hiouse we were looking at was not accepted- pfewh!!
Sunday-
-went to look at the house with my wife and kid. They loved it.
-put an offer in for their full asking amount, as they've lowered it several times and are at rock bottom at present so they can get into their new house.
-spent a large part of the day juggling computer printouts, researching house-buying info, and running around like a turkey sans head to get the Ghodbox on my network speaking to other fax machines in the world, only to find it took no less than 30 minutes to send a 14 page offer package to my agent.
