This is what happens when you live in a suburb that has grown into yuppie hell the last few years because it's just far enough outside the city limits that they feel like they live in the "country". Also, the condo developments that bracket my neighbourhood have beautiful lawns (their association hires a service), so they are horribly offended by anyone who doesn't.

We have 1 1/2 acres, a push mower, one woman with bad knees and one woman who works 60-80 hours per week living here. The grass gets done something like once a month, typically. *sigh*

Woke up early so I could get my internet surfing in before work...only to discover that my connection has been down since 5:15am.

Called Comcast to let them know...AGAIN...and sat on hold for 27 minutes without anyone actually picking up the %$^#@#!% phone. Connection came back on, and since they'll be here in the morning, I hung up and just made a note.

Determined that if they don't fking FIX the problem, I'm going to have to cause someone great bodily harm. For this I pay $60+ per month? I don't fking THINK so! Bass-turds.

Woke up in a bad mood because I went to bed in a bad mood.

Got some blood tests done. I really hate getting them I dislike the feeling of my life being sucked out of my body!! And there were only 5 vials.

Accepted a Letter of Counseling for being late, despite having followed procedure of calling in with explanation and ETA.

Countered by handing in my 2-week notice.

Got home after leaving the computer on all day. As soon as I sit down I am bombarded with pop ups and virus warnings. I was like WTF. I don't think I had even touched the keyboard yet. And nod32 couldn't delete some of them so I pulled my internet conection and did a full scan. All of them where deleted except the one that infected window media player but I delete that file. So I jack back in, same pop up flood but now I can't get them off my system so I do re install. I was so pissed off.

I think it might have something to do with the group project we presented today. Ours was a little better then the other teams.

Or something. I bet this was a targeted attack.

-went to the Buffett show last night at the last minute. Almost bailed on it, due to a strange cracking sound coming from teh XJ's steering gearbox <I think the box itself is bad>. The Blazer's tires are tired, and have no spare, so didn't want to take it. Drove the wife's ZJ instead- it needed a shakedown cruise for long trips anyway-- passed with flying colors! Home by 12:45

Received a visit from my now-friend Scott, the Comcast tech. He's been here enough that we catch up on each other's lives when he visits, just like old friends.
