Went to babysit for my friend, but when I got there I found out the people she needed to go see weren't home, so we chatted for a couple hours instead while playing with the baby. OMG is he growing up! Eight months already, I'm not sure where the time went. He's got six teeth, even.
Having had my baby fix for a while, I'm now home and debating if I want to go to bed ridiculously early or if I want to soak in the tub first. Still have a headache hovering, not liking it in the least.

Took my pool water to be tested and found out what I suspected. Too much phosphate in the water ( from recent grass fertilizer ) . Now it will take a product to get rid of and probably three days to clear. Oh well , live and learn.

Enjoyed a full night's sleep for a change. Got up at 5 am.Went back to sleep. Got up at 8 am. Worked on critical stuff that should have been done yesterday (slacker). Discovered cat had dumped one of Marcus's rooting projects into my laser printer. Had tantrum. Been useless since. Rest of critical stuff might have to wait since printer is dead.

Opera loadin from 8-5. I kinda like that I didn't have time to be assigned as head electrician for the week (I'm already otherwise booked) because the guy who is in charge knows I know more than him, so I could choose the easy stuff and slack all day.

Also, I'm now eating some reheated macaroni and cheese before running out the door again. Woo-freakin-hoo. I was
going to grill a steak, but there's not enough time.

Serviced the transmission in the truck today - and followed the directions this time. My previous thought on servicing the tranny was only a fluid and filter change. According to All-Data, adjusting the bands in part of it as well. So that is done now.
However, we had this brilliant idea to install a drain plug in the pan. Unfortunately, we drilled the hole in the wrong place and had to repair the pan and drill a new hole for the drain plug. Discovered that the 'patch' in the pan is leaking when I got home.
Backed into the fence at the Auto Hobby Shop... fortunately, no damage to the truck, and very minimal to the fence. (I'll say it for you - "Dumb-ass...")
Installed a stereo in my Mom's car.
I'm wiped.

Ran a spotlight for the arena football game, during which I rediscovered how damn silly arena football is. Giggled like a loon pretty much the entire time I was there.

Then went to the birthday party, where I re-found some former good friends, and am not sure how to feel about how things went with my ex (who I haven't been in the same room with in about five years). It was weird at best.
Now wishing it wasn't 3:30am, or that I didn't have to be at work at 8am, doesn't really matter, as long as only one of those things was true.

Went to work on 90 minutes' sleep. Managed to get myself assigned to the organizational aspects of the day rather than the climbing around in the air with great chance of falling aspects.

Also only had to work 8 hours instead of the expected 10-12, which really didn't suck in the least.
Turned down work for tomorrow to try to catch up on some sleep and laundry, and also to give myself a weekend.

LOL- I ran into the EXACT same problem with my 700R4 in the Blazer when I put a B&M drainplug in.
Luckily, my weld-fu mastery cobbled a fluidtight repair together.

not much of ANYthing this weekend-- except got the waterbed's new mattress installed and finally to the right temperature <not too warm, not too cold>. OH FRABJUOUS DAY!! SOOOOO much more comfy. I might just have to go to the chiro's now and see if I can get my back to work properly again after 6 months of sleeping on the couch <we were gonna buy a full bedroom set but decided to wait till after we buy a house.... and I got fed up enough with the couch that I threw $150 at the problem and replaced the old waterbed mattress.....>
Saturday-
Rained. went exploring some fire roads with a friend from the Jeep club. Proceeded to get my XJ stuck to the headlights in a deceptively small pit. Apparently, it was just large enough to fit an XJ in, and just deep enough to hang said XJ on front and rear bumpers. Trusty el-cheapo Harbor Freight winch pulled me right out, though.
Sunday-
Rained. Took the kid wheeling around a future subdivision's clearcut area. Washed the Jeep, bought a 120GB HDD to Ghost the wife's box to so I can upgrade it to W2K, then had to explain why I had to buy the drive to her, 5 times, only to have her still insist that even though she's only using 15 GB of the 60GB in her machine, she absolutely NEEDS the extra 120GB. All while I'm trying to juggle 700MB of free space on my machine- and I'm the IT professional! She doesn't even game <nor do I, due to space constrictions>.....
Today- raining. Trying to get as much steel cut for my bumper project as I can, in hopes that it doesn't rain tomorrow.
Oh yeah- Sunday, addendum: my son started talking to a cypress knee <driftwood> I pulled out of the State Park when I was 8 years old. Apparently it's name is Mr. Castle, and it's talking back.
Visions of sveral Stephen King books and Discovery channel Halloween-season specials as I hear one side of the conversation......

The guy who posted it hadn't updated it in over a year... I don't think there are any new ones, at least there weren't the last time I checked.
