24C= 25F!??

Was awakened by a blood-curdling shriek:

Son:"DADDDYY!"
<40 pound projectile tackles me just about the time I hear the above, while I'm stll asleep>
Son: "Happyyyy Birf-Day, Daddy!!!!"

Looked at my watch, oh yeah... so it is.

I must be getting old. I actually forgot about my own birthday.

Oops. Sorry. 24C is 75F. Wasn't awake, obviously or didn't check what I had written before posting. Gosh.

I didn't think that for a second bk, that you were challenging me. Silly. I just messed up in a gross fashion.

Therefore, for every 1 degree Celsius you go up or down (above zero) you gain or lose 1.8 degrees Farenheit. No biggie. 5C would be a 9F increase in temperature.
They meet at -40 and then from then on the lower Celsius creates an even lower Farenheit reading. One day this winter with a slight windchill factor I was working outside when it was -65.6F!!! Believe me, you have a very strong motivation to hustle your butt at those temps. Freaking brutal.

Grilled pork chops in the rain. Or near the rain, as it were. Couldn't do it IN the rain, the charcoal would've gone out.

nah-- I'm just a proponent of the old axiom:

"Don't run-- you'll just die tired"... icon_wink.gif

EDIT: BTW-- in the Xbox world, the silenced sniper rifle is teh shiznit.

Zoom in on the opposition with the scope, zoom in once more to pick out a particular individual, and <tak>- he's down... and the rest of his squaddies just start looking around wondering what the heck happened to Igor.

Hmmm... perhaps I should try picking them off, back to front- see if the AI will realize they're under attack..

began planning what I'd like to do with my office in the new house. I'm thinking a tropical decor, with the outside wall having an island view sort of setup on the wall- maybe some heavy canvas as a tapestry, with a beach scene painted on it. Better yet, a scrim with this preprinted if they aren't that expensive.

nothing too fru-fru- just something to relax in

Discovered my brother-in-law mowing the lawn when I woke up again, so went out and played with my nephew until he was done. Hatched a plan with him to plant some Rose of Sharon in the "field" (about 40 feet between me and the neighbour that we don't mow), that along with the other stuff already growing (some walnut, tulip trees, maples, and dogwood) will make a nice privacy thing, and also keep us from having to mow it under the new township ordinance.

Rest of the day will be busy after lunch. Laundry, putting some screens up, running to the office, grocery shopping, making potato salad, putting together some dinner...

Beth-- have a great time on the trip. I wish I'd thought about taking a party bus the last two shows I went to. I've recently found out a friend at work is a big parrothead, so we may have to go in on a rental of some sort next time.
