Marveled over the fact that it hasn't rained since about 5:00am. I don't even mind that it's only 50F, it's not raining!!!

Did some laundry, made some lunch, watched some TV, did some more laundry, went to the chiropracter. I have to go again later this week, apparently the numbness in my arms is being caused by the bone spur in my neck.

Took my eldest in to have ear tubes put it. Was a long morning for all of us

went to the chiro. He showed me the xrays he took last week and after a lifetime of general stupidity and roughhousing, my neck looks like a nice mountain road <ok that's an exageration-- but it ain't far off>.

-got the first adjustment of three I'll get this week.

within 30 seconds, he had about 90% of the range of motion I've lost over the years back, just by making three gentle adjustments to my neck. I can now do full circles with my neck <been about 8 months>, ful circles with my left arm without cheating and making it into a bent-out oval <been about 2 years>, and can do the lunges and side bends I used to do in martial arts class <I dont even want to think how long it's been>. I can put my palms flat on the floor while bending over again, do situps without my lower back clicking......ah hell-- it's just nothing short of amazing.

Why the hell didn't I go sooner? WTF was I afraid of?!!

Best $15 copay I've ever spent.

So...do you understand why I keep asking mine to marry me?

Vainly attempted to fight inertia and sloth but really couldn't see the upside of a victory so gave in and was a lump at work.

Worked on a difficult problem of dynamically binding a web component that was in a dynamically bound repeating component. Everything works except the visual part but I have a lead on how to fix that.

Was disgusted at Zim's industrious nature... it's a feckin' Monday for feck's sake!

Woke up at 0500, laid in bed until 0520, came down and put coffee on... someone will feel my wrath today - it's inevitable.

Laid in bed tossing and turning until well after 4:30am. Alarm went off at 6am, laid there until 6:30 before dragging myself off to the shower. Now staring at the coffee and my sewing kit, convinced there has to be a way to put those two things together to get it into my system faster.

It's gonna be a loooong 16-hour day at work.

Day off work today which is going to be taken advantage of fully.

I must lift and then do a ton of packing. Hoping I can drag my mother out to Verizon at some point so we can finally switch cell phones.

-woke up late. Wanted to go in at 0600 or so, but didn't even move until well past 0645.

-did the triple S's, and laid down on the bed to watch the Today show "just for a minute" at 0700, thinking I'd get up after 15 minutes and get to work.

-woke up at 0830. Feck!

-decided to carry on with the plan I'd thought of the previous night: run by the bank at 9 when they opened, then head to the Air Base hobby shop and mount the tires on my Blazer <actually, dismount old bald ones and mount the "new" ones that were pulled off a buddy's ZJ project when he put it back to stock to sell it>. I have to say- the gents that work there DO impress me. I watched one guy fuss with a tire for 15 minutes trying to get it dead balanced, where every tire shop I've been to says that 1/4 oz is "close enough". I'll be mounting all my tires at the air base from now on, I think.

-not quite having thought things through, went in my work clothes. Between manual labor in an outside bay and dealing with dirty tires, had to go back home after this, shower again, change, and to work.

-called my Mortgage agent and checked on the status, seeing if anything can possibly pop up to "Screw the pooch" on this deal. So far there is nothing on the horizon and much positive progress has been made. I am truly amazed. Keep expecting something to screw this deal in the next couple days. <Ye gods, NO!>

-neck stiffened up a bit overnight. Have been able to get it to pop a few times by just gently moving it side to side at the limits of movement. Don't want to do too much and ruin what progress has been made. Then again, throwing around 80 pound tire and wheel combos this morning was probably not the most advantageous course of action-- but had to be done.

-discovered there is a "boil water" advisory since yesterday at 11:30 just about the time I polished off the third 64 oz cup <ok, "Tank"> of water in the last 30 hours or so. Discovered this not due to a helpful public notice in the media, but by a minor footnote on the CPW website as I was looking for a contact number for water service in the new house. I've been listening to the radio for the last 4 hours, without so much as a peep mentioned.

-sent a nastygram via the "Contact us" link on said page, after calling the contact number and waiting no less than 15 minutes without getting a person onthe phone. Apparently my call isn't really "Very important to the Commission" after all.....

Finished my trip report... finally.

Coded all day. Just barely missed out on having the boss take me to lunch. But if I would have gotten in on it I would have had to stay 30 minutes longer than I usually do.

Watched the Expos win on TV.

Dragged my tired sorry a$$ to work. Spent about an hour divvying out costumes into their proper locations, then spent the next five hours (not counting an hour for lunch) polishing shoes. Then spent the next three hours doing repairs on costumes, and relabelling an entire set of costumes for a new actress who just came into the show tonight.

After dinner, reuinted with the girls I dressed a few weeks ago, and met the new one. Did the show. Went to the bar for a snack and a couple of adult beverages to unwind.

Unwound too far. Falling asleep as I sit here... *sigh* Damn two hours' sleep, anyway. And no rest for the wicked, must be up by 8am tomorrow for the cable company. *sigh* again

had another adjustment yesterday- this time he had me get on the table and told me to cross my arms over my chest- then grabbed my elbows, pulled left over right and vice versa, farther than I could have, and pressed down. My entire upper back basically unzipped. Wow. Amazing relief. Haven't stiffened up much since yesterday, either.

Woke up exhausted....Not sure how I'm going to make it through the day!!

Woke up at 8am, stumbled out to the couch to sleep, so I could hear the phone if it rang (cable company was supposed to be here between 8 and 12).

Phone rang at 9:30...not the cable guy. My business agent, wanting to know if I had been told by our President that the contract negotiation meeting from Friday had been rescheduled for 1pm today. I did not. Told him I didn't know when the cable company would be here.

Cable company showed up at 11:50. Two guys, neither of them my friend Scott. Called my business agent and told him I may or may not make the meeting, but I'd try real hard. Cable guys left about ten minutes ago (12:40). Not going to make the meeting. AND, my connection problem may or may not be fixed, as they've gone to replacing the things that have already been replaced, because maybe the replacements were defective.

For pity's sake, people...if everything I have, including the computer it's hooked up to, has been replaced, WTF do you have to repeat the process? Can't you move on to something else now?

Oh yeah...and I still have to balance the checkbook, pay the bills, put together a deposit, and print the financial reports for the meeting I won't be attending this evening because I have to work.

How about we schedule every freaken thing I have to do all on the same day, is that possible? Anybody got anything else they need to have a meeting with me about today?

Found out that we will be approximately 10% behind budget for the month (not my department) and that there most likely will be layoffs.

Made almost all of my "scheduled" meetings. Freaken bloody idiots.

-talked to my realtor about 30 minutes ago and found out that the closing is going to go through- we close at 1pm EST tomorrow.

Was a very nerve-wracking experience retrieving that voicemail when it popped up on my phone.... I dialed the passcode, all the while chanting "please let the closing go through, please let the closing go through"
