CJ-- must be a HAM?
not much accomplished today, other than fixing the wife's turn signals in her Grand. 15 minute fix, 14 minutes of which was eaten up with trying to figure out where the @#$@% en-guh-neers decided to put the freakin' turn signal flasher module.

Nope, not a Ham, a DJ at a country radio station in Burlington, VT. Got an 11 hour day, thats a little to much radio for me!

Started making my list of things I need to buy/do before next Thursday, when I'm doing my annual "live in a tent and work in a field" stint at the fairgrounds.
Good thing I have some money right now, or I'd be screwed. I forgot my tent ripped down the entire seam last year until about a half hour ago, I've completely forgotten to watch for sales.

Went grocery shopping, made some bleu cheese-walnut-cream cheese spread for the party tomorrow, ordered some "trees in celebration" from the Arbor Day Foundation for my dad for Father's Day.
While shopping, also bought a new cooler (mine mysteriously disappeared from the garage one day, I blame my niece but can't prove it), a new tent, a new battery-operated lantern, and some sunscreen and bug spray.
Where the hell does bug spray and sunscreen go every year? I know for a certain fact I didn't use it all, but every year I have to buy more. Hate that.

Bite the proverbial bullet today and test my ankle out. Have to scope out some properties and hope that they aren't too wet to do some maintenance work. Also buy yesterday's paper since I slept and read for most of the day. Great books, waste of time.

Went to the British Speedway GP at the Millenium Stadium in Cardiff last night, can just about remember walking back to the hotel at 2.30am, so I woke this morning in a strange room with a raging thirst and a banging headache. Missed breakfast, drove the 150 or so miles home, had dinner, took some crap to the tip, right now I'm waiting for the F1 Grand Prix to start, which leads nicely into the footie......
A VERY beer fuelled weekend.
I'm going to pay for it tommorow morning.

Went to my sister's house for our Father's Day thing (yes, it's a week early, but all of us are busy next weekend and couldn't do it then). Good food, good times with the family, good fun running in and out of the garage between thunderstorms. Huge fun with the kids all over me, and me tossing them in the pool (whenever it wasn't storming).
Now having a nice cold glass of wine and relaxing at home where there's quiet.

Found out the woman who pretty much WAS community theatre in Grand Rapids, and who was one of the first people I met when I started, and who essentially took me (and others) under her wing and showed us the ropes, died over the weekend at 75. Feeling kinda like my heart's been stepped on.

Went to Starbucks, went to the gym, came home, showered, had dinner, made numerous phone calls, went to the Richmond Night Market and stuff myself silly, came home, feel like throwing up.
The Richmond Night Market is back in... Richmond. It's a summertime thing that happens every weekend. It's just a market place [think outdoor flea market] just like the ones in Hong Kong

I ended up picking up some blank CD-RWs. There were no more pirated DVDs this year though. Maybe they up some sort of rule since a few stands got busted a couple of years back and were charged.

I not only triumphed over the $%@$#^!@$ grill (WTF do they have to include pictures only as if they are instructions? If you're illiterate, you shouldn't be putting together something that contains hot burning coals!

Started my day with a giggle, which is never a bad thing. Had a GREAT horoscope!

QUOTE
You may feel like a young puppy that has just been let outside for the first time, dear Aries. The air is warm and delicious, and you are brimming over with energy. You are ready to take off running through the lawn, out into the fields, and over the hills in the distance. Unfortunately, however, you are tied to a large stake in the ground and your area of movement does not extend beyond a ten-foot radius. Your heart is ready to fly, but something beyond your control is keeping you where you are. Start chewing the rope.
Now drinking a huge glass of cranberry-cherry juice, putting off going to the office for the pre-meeting meeting. *sigh*
