Back into the "normal" schedule for now.

Pre-meeting meeting at the union office.
Contract negotiation meeting at the management office.
Post-meeting meeting at the union office.
Home again, home again, jiggety-jig...and found once again that no one had been here while I was gone. I'm getting a little better at coming home, but it's still kinda creepy. And I have all the doors and windows locked, including chains on the doors, as soon as I get inside. *sigh*

Just checked out some alternative modes of transportation that included a natural gas Ford F250, an older Mercedes that has been converted to bio-diesel, a Hybrid Toyota and rode a Segway scooter... Having an energy and sustainability summit here at work with about 40 high schoolers from 6 states - cool stuff. The bio-diesel Mercedes has me wanting a Whopper with cheese...

Ran some CAT-5 - 2 ~100 ft. runs up a wall, through a ceiling, down a wall, under the subfloor, and connected two more machines to the switch. Now, I'll have a PC at work all to myself... muahahahaha!!! Had to show the newbie (from the Network Shop previously) how to operate a 3-piece fiberglass fish-pole... pretty sad.
Cut a notch in one of the subfloor tiles to run power under the floor for our shop's fridge and microwave - apparently, it's illegal to plug those appliances into surge protectors... even if they're the only thing plugged into them. We hid the power strips under the floor... where the fire inspector will never look.

And finally, completed my initial security training on the new system, so I am a fully qualified user now - Sweet... I think. That means I have to actually start doing some work, or something.

-refilled my gas tank even though it was nowhere near empty, out of curiousity. See-- I had the O2 sensor recall work done at the dealer <wife nearly dropped from shock- my taking the vehicle to the dealer and all> since it was free.
My mileage has gone from 10 MPG to 17MPG, uncorrected. Add the 14% correction ratio for my speedo inaccuracy, and it's even better.
VERY stoked. Now I have to put in the $80 TPS I bought last week- which means I get to extract broken-off galvanically welded AL screw from the throttlebody. Oh JOY.

D'you suppose you could get your mom to chat up MY chiropracter about me? He's a cutie.

Went to the union label office, discovered we have to amend our By-Laws in order to get a license for our raffle (which takes place the first week in September). Did a kamikaze-type proposed amendment, which is now in committee, to be voted on next meeting.
Going to the bar later, haven't been in about a week and I miss my bartender.
