Woke up early enough to get some stuff done before going to my meeting...and proceeded to pi$$ all my extra time away sitting at the computer. So be it, I guess.
Wondered why exactly it is that my computer seems to be restarting itself...but since we've had severe thunderstorms haven't yet been convinced that it's not a power issue, even though the clocks haven't been blinking.

installed the new TPS last night, and it seemed to idle fine. Took the Jeep to work today and it's idling at 2200 RPM sometime. GRRRR. $80 shot in the nether regions...

Throttle Position Sensor. Basically a variable resistor who's output tells the ECU how much throttle is being used, in order to reference the fuel/air map and decide how long to hold the injectors open for.
In this case-- a waste of $80. Damn idle is WORSE. The Jeep wanted to idle at 2200 RPM at times today.
Did I mention I friggin' HATE not being able to plug my laptop up to the vehicle and watch the sensor data like I can on my Blazer?!!

Went to an executive board meeting, where I ruffled quite a few feathers by not sitting there like a doormat. It's good for them.

Followed that with a general membership meeting, where we ratified two contracts (now we only have three open instead of five).
Now home, grilling ribs I brought home from the bar last night (if you ask them nicely, they package them uncooked with a container of sauce so you can do it yourself...but maybe they only do that for me

).

Just sent an email to my boss about the rest of my vacation days for the rest of the year.
I had to resort to bargaining...trying to exchange working on public holidays for other days off

[Darned visitors who don't give me a year's notice!! And darned out-of-town friends and family who don't give a year's notice on their wedding dates!!]

Geez....my immediate first thought was "DON'T TOUCH IT!!!! Call the health department to have it tested for West Nile!"
Such is the life I lead here, where they've already found three dead crows in my county that were infected with the virus...

Absolutely nothing. No, wait, that's not true. I did a couple of loads of laundry, and read most of a book.
Thank gods I'm working again tomorrow, I don't know how much more of this sitting around the house I can take. It's too freaken cold to do anything outside (down to 40F tonight), even though the severe thunderstorms are finally over again for a bit.

Got up, called my sister to tell her she's more than welcome to come over this afternoon, but no one will be here for her to visit.
Made coffee, got partially ready for work. Discovered a BSOD on my computer for the first time since I started using Win2K. Some kinda kernel error.

Am I EVER going to not automatically think it's something the burglars did whenever something is wrong with any of my stuff?

Did the world's stupidest loadin at the club across town (Saliva headlining, four other bands playing before them). Learned a little bit about setting up front of house sound regarding inputs, etc.
May go back early to observe the mix, but it's doubtful.
Bought one of those McDonald's "Happy Meals for adults"...and actually thought the salad was pretty darn good!

And now I own a "stepometer"...which I specifically did NOT purchase before the two weekends when I was going to be walking miles upon miles for work...I didn't want to know.

ROFLMAO!!!!!!! Oh boy...this is TOO funny!
So I went back to work tonight to do the loadout for Saliva (and the other bands, whoever they were). The drum tech is entirely too impressed with us/me, so as we're sticking the last stuff in the trailer I come across this broken drum head. I ask him if it's important to him, or if I can throw it away. He says he doesn't want it...but wait! He'll get it signed for me, it's the least he can do, I've been so helpful and gotten his stuff packed away so fast.
So now I have a drum head signed by Paul...sombody....the drummer for Saliva! And I have guitar picks from Chris...somebody...!

Edit:
It actually was very cool of him...it's not something that's done every day. In fact, had I suggested it, it would've been VERY frowned upon. But as it is...I'm debating if I should keep it forever because it amuses me, or if I should sell it on eBay.

So then...I'm keeping it, huh?

Today, I did nothing. I should have been cleaning the house, but apparently I'm catching up on all the sleep I didn't get in the last week, because after breakfast I ended up taking a five-hour nap.

I'm hoping I stay awake a bit longer after dinner, the house must be cleaned by tomorrow.

Discovered I'm out of coffee. Now debating which is the lesser of two evils...going to I-Hop for breakfast, or having to drink the swill from the grocery store.

Ordered more coffee, will be here Wednesday.
