It's not the '90s anymore. Sorry. icon_biggrin.gif

I didn't do crap today. Talked to some friends on the phone, chatted via MSN, and watched a little TV. Should've cleaned my garage - but nope.

Oh well.

hehe- I was waiting for that. icon_wink.gif

I see you had a very similar day to mine. Still got about 8 boxes in the garage I need to move before I can start cutting up the Blazer and welding like a madman, giggling all the while. But no-- lethargy has taken it's toll....

- realized I need to buy or rent a suit for this weekend's wedding. Hate to buy a suit I'll probably only wear once, so ..... rental time?

Woken up by Harvey with his extend clawed pawing my nose. A sure way to wake up! icon_wink.gif Start to moped round the apartment cleaning up and doing the cataloguing of my collection in between!
Demon
WOke up, went to the market, watched German GP, about to start cleaning the house then NASCAR @ 1:30 and IndyCar @ 3:30. Great day for TV racing.
bull
Set off a bug bomb in the shed, then off to clean the shed and the garage, sand and paint a desk and maybe stain some trim boards for good measure.

Can't wait to go to work tonight, I need a break. icon_wink.gif

Got up, went to work, did a loadin. Did not get show call, so I came home. Got irritated by people who make assumptions when they don't know the facts.
AceHigh
Caulked the trim on new siding, wow what a mess, 4 tubes and still not quite done, but ran out.
uNtOldPAIN
wife dragged me shopping... wallbash.gif
Aladoc
Mowed the entire north 40. Got it done before the rain.
amandabobanda
Woke up, cut fruit, got dressed, made a mad dash to the supermarket. Hosted a bridal shower, came home, tidied up, did laundry, made tomorrow's lunch, will eat dinner and head out soon.
mbeeston
got up to my grandparents telling me i had to work on my day off since someone didn't show up ><
Felix4067
Went back to the little arena for the loadout...and discovered that even though it was 10pm, and the show was supposed to be over at 10:15pm, the %$#@^$!%$#@%!#$ act hadn't yet shown up. At 10:35, he finally went on stage, and we got to start the loadout at 11:15. Didn't get done until just shy of 2am, and I don't have any beer in the house. 8.gif

was apparently too damn dumb to go to sleep...

<actually, tried, but failed>

:sigh: insomnia sucks......

Got up by Harvey's attempting to clawed my face at about 5.30am! Throw him out at about 7.45am! Get ready for work but pop into the Bank on the way to work to pay some bills. Work and work and work and post some comments on the 4peeps then work and work etc.....
Mrs. Spike
Came to work, pretended like I actually give a damn about what I do - actually, will be doing that for the next 5 hours and 18 minutes.
Felix4067
Freaked out as I was sitting here because I saw a man duck under the window right up next to the house. icon_eek.gif

Went outside, cell phone in hand, to find that he was from the power company, here to cut the tree limb off the lines! icon_lol.gif Turns out the reason they ask if it's near the ground is not only so they can determine how serious it is, but also to see if they can send out the guy with the extended loppers in the trunk of his personal car instead of the huge CP truck. icon_biggrin.gif

Now going to make lunch, and then get some work accomplished I forgot about that has to be done before my meeting Wednesday night.
amandabobanda
Slept in, got distracted by the people inspecting the house, stopped by the gas station, came to work.
Felix4067
Discovered that all of my contacts magically appeared in Trillian, along with all of my message history files.

Decided there's a ghost in the machine, and made plans to burn some candles and sage tomorrow, time permitting.

Mrs. Spike
Drove in rush-hour traffic in the rain (which makes it even more pitiful than usual) and ate breakfast (honey nut cheerios with cut-up banana). About to attempt to do some work, though I'm having a hard time keeping my eyes open...

Realised the amount of money I put towards retirement savings every month is just about enough to cover my mortgage payments when they start! icon_biggrin.gif This means I won't have to feel broke every month!! But less savings for when I'm old and grey.

Although that is a fantastic idea, those kind of dudes are hard to find!!

Where should I start??
Felix4067
Went to work, did a loadin, got first cut (which means I only got the 4-hour minimum, no extra time or pay). Came home, going to make lunch and then take a nap.

icon_lol.gif I'm doing the American Idol tour today. icon_lol.gif

Why would a millionaire live in a retirement home?? What about the younger millionaires?

Went crabbing with mt father and bro... caught 3 dozen Jersey Blues in just over 2 hours.
bull
Slept and then took my mom out for her b-day.
Felix4067
Caught part of the show, still don't get the attraction. Did the loadout, tweaked my lower back but good. Hoping the combination of a couple of beers and a couple of arthritis formula Tylenol will do something, because I'm doing another show tomorrow (in about 5 1/2 hours, in fact).

American Idol... icon_rolleyes.gif icon_lol.gif
Felix4067
Went to work, got darn near all the way to coffee break before I realized I had tweaked my back more than just a little last night. Turned down show call (could've run spotlight for Boston and made more money), begged for the early cut (lost more money), and bailed on the loadout (lost even more money).

Sitting here with the ice pack and have just taken a couple of Motrin. Going to the chiropractor in three hours.

Got tired at 9PM!!!!
Felix4067
Went to the chiropractor, and was told "your hips are on wrong, there's your problem!" icon_lol.gif

After numerous adjustments and five minutes on the stretching table, felt better than I had in weeks. Went to the union label office to get ready for the meetings.

Discovered about three hours after being at the chiropractor that while the bones may be where they belong, the muscles are not interested in playing along. Still hurts like a b!tch, and I'm still walking like a drunken sailor on shore leave for the first time in months. icon_cry.gif

Decided to get drunk and then take some Motrin, maybe that'll kick it in a bit. (I know that's not really true, but I'm hoping for some sleep tonight that doesn't involve waking myself up moaning in pain when I try to change positions in bed).
Felix4067
Union meeting, followed by a run to the bank for Union Label, then a run to the post office to pay bills and get the application for the raffle license in overnight delivery. Home for a bit, then out for a political rally.

I'm beat. And my back still hurts, dammit. 8.gif

Went over to mother-in-laws and repaired the Sink Pig , my wife fed it a wash cloth.

Bought some concert tickets!!
Mrs. Spike
Decided to get back at my asshat of a boss by not doing a lick of work today.

Have I mentioned how much I HATE him? 7.gif

I guess it's not really a concert...but tickets for some wakeboarding thing that also happens to have bands playing.

I can't remember everyone, but those headlining over the weekend include Big Naked, Sum41, and The Tea Party!!
Felix4067
Spent the day at my sister's house hanging out with her, her husband, my oldest niece and her roommate, my 2nd oldest niece, my mom, and my brother-in-law's best friend.

Was reminded how very quickly children grow up, when we were playing Life (the board game) and my niece, who last year was having trouble in school, was the banker and didn't need any help whatsoever doing the math. Kinda sad, really...I mean, I know she's nine and all, but still...she's supposed to be a baby, dammit!

Thusday, 6pm EST-2am Friday: drove to about 40 miles west f Atlanta

Frday: drove fro there, to Murfreesbro, TN. Participated in rehearsal and rehearsal dinner for wifes cousin's wedding <very tight family, might as well be wife's brother's wedding>. Alo had belated b=day for son.

Saturday: particiated in said wedding by walking the ring bearr <my 4-year-old-son> rapidl around te parking lot while ceremony took place. bac to hotel, got son down to sleep and wife went as well. Made apperarane to rep. our family at reception. Got thoroughly drunk after approx 3 Jaeger shots, nd 8 vodka tonics <god bless free-pouring barmaid>. Struggled through the keyboard at web-kiosk that the - err- shall we say <slightly- civilized apes> tha have been running around the hotel the last couple days have ruind. How are they affording such hotel rates as these, anyway? Apparently, welfare gives the FAR too much money every month. >Loking at the cars, and the people, it s apparent they have NO intellect, no sklls, no sense, and far too much gddamn money... political-correctness be goddamned.<Danced with wife's sisters, the bride, wfe's extended family, anonymous females, and etc>. Ran offseveral of said apes from reception <"I'm sorry-- are you with the bride or groom? What's their name? I'm sorry you need to leave. Now. Or else." You'd think they'd realize they stick out in a room full of Slovenians and Scots.> Bastards. Otherwise- Had a WONDERFUL time!!!!
Love her family to death!!!

Sunday- getting up at 8 fr brekkie with family, then 8 hour drive back to Charleston. Jeep did GREAT on trip out, expet same upon eturn. Only problem- clogged evaporator core drain plug and a bit of condensate on floor. I was going o detal the thing anyway....

Planning an alternative holiday.....icon_neutral.gif after reviewing the budget.....

And putting Canada trip on Hold to 2005!
Felix4067
Got up, went to work. Loaded in either 12 or 14 trucks (I forget how many, it's really pretty academic once you get above icon_cool.gif, and created a concert in the round. Discovered the BEST barricade EVER, that every concert in the world should use! It's aluminum, and weighs about 1/8 what the steel crap does.

Now home for a bit before heading back to pack it all up again. I may go early to catch part of the show...what the heck, it's Prince's "farewell" tour, after all. icon_lol.gif If he's anything like anyone else, that means I should only have to work the show six more times before he finally stops. icon_lol.gif
AceHigh
I started working on the 8 foot curio cabinet wife wants me to make.
Felix4067
Back to work, caught part of the show (which was surpisingly not that bad), lost (literally) three pounds sweating. shocking.gif Home, took the trash out, took a shower, now relaxing before I go in for my four hours' sleep before I have to get up again.
amandabobanda
Woke up, had breakfast, went to Costco, went for dim sum, spent almost 10 hours at a barbeque.
