Went to work, and got out just as the motorcade was bringing President Ford to the church for his family's private funeral service. So I stood on the side of the road to watch him pass before I walked to my car. (I was working just across the river from the museum in our convention center.)

Bought a six of Hinano Tahiti and a few super special reserve Trader Joe's Christmas ale @ a whopping badass 9.5% alc/vol. Cooking up some breaded seasoned chicken tenders I scored from work in the oven cause I don't have the balls to buy a deep fryer yet.

went on a bus with my girlfriend... man i had like 10 yrs without haven't ridden on a bus... freaky experience... a lil' disturbing one too... i'd rather stick to my car and motorcycle... I REALIZED I LOVE 'EM...

worked 0000-0800. got home, entirely too wired on Navy midwatch coffee. Wind me up and watch me goooooooooo....

worked on the yard a bit, troubleshot and fixed the ticking sound from the Blazer (luckily not a transmission problem, but WTF did the damn bottom two trans mount bolts go???), measured and drew up some new shock mounts for the Jeep, made a list of materials to carry that out the next few days, made some hot and sour soup to fend off the nasal stuffiness I see coming on, drooled over the new Jeep Wrangler again (if only they'd release the diesel in the US!!!), showered, watched half of an old 40's war flick (To the Halls of Montezuma), fell asleep about 1500 and woke up at 2030 absolutely disoriented. hate being 12 hours out of sync

Dropped the boy off at work, then came home and did three loads of laundry, made dinner, cleaned the bathroom, and made peanut butter-chocolate bars. I'm about to head out to work, then his house again.

Actually won a couple more b-ball games. Our team only had 2 wins all of last year, we are already at 6 and counting.

Had a crew of 4 since yesterday doing fiber optics-drilling holes all over the place for computer and TV set-ups. Doing finish up work today. Did not realize there were several hundred TV channels. Computers and net work up and down several times-now working-nice difference!

Finally came home.

Bought the orginal Metal Gear Solid and beat the 2-disc game (no cheating) in 13 hours 34 mins...my new record
not counting eating time, and small 20 mins breaks
